    A mate of mine who played in the lower leagues said that allegedly he was artificially marked high by everyone so that he got promoted to a higher league out of their way.

    I try and stick up for refs more than most. It's a tough position and mistakes get highlighted more than most places. However he has to go down as one of the worst ever. Up there with guys like Cain, Willard, Riley, Atkinson, D'Urso etc when it comes to our games.

    The amount of bookings he would dish out shows he hasn't got a clue how to control a game.

    It’s not mistakes that refs make that rile me, it’s the inconsistency of their decisions and actions. Too many times I’ve seen opposing players foul consistently without any action taken ‘other than the free kick, Yet ours seem to be booked straight away. That first game against Coventry last season still sticks in my memory
