Sadly that’s true Ian. No real idea of what he stands for/believes and even less idea what Labour represent.

It’s not good enough to stand on the “at least I’m not a Tory” ticket. Okay we know what you’re not - but what do you want to do with power?

Having looked at Lab/Con parties websites, they are both keeping their powder dry. The manifestos date back to the last election; Dec 2019.

The difference is that the tories have been actively making policy for those three years. We know what they'd do, because they're currently doing it (or going on national television to talk about how they're not doing it hard enough). Not sure they've got a peck of dry powder between them!

    You sure?
Do you want to compare Boris’ pre election promises to his actual policies.

In an ideal world politicians would be held accountable to their manifestos, but we don’t live in ideal world.

And frankly; if you genuinely believe that any of the other main party’s would be as bad as this, then there’s no point discussing the finer details.

But back to the point of the thread: How stupid are the puppet masters to believe they can put Truss into no10 to continue Boris’ good work? And gallingly how stupid do they think the British public is to fall for it.

To be fair, the British public don't have a great track record of late either.

There were still significant numbers in Wales and Scotland who voted for Brexit. And since 2010, the tories were commonly outcompeting Labour in Scotland.

I fear you may be clutching at an ever decreasing number of straws. It's important to recognise fault where it exists. It will help explain why the UK won't exist in 2040.

Sorry, probably wasn't clear. I meant that we don't need a manifesto to tell us what the tory's plans are, because they're doing it.

Or not voting at all, or switched allegiance to the Tories, particularly under Ruth Davison.

    Grim.

It's amazing the money he finds for his own needs and wants and the fake concern he shows.

The first name mate thing the media are continuing to peddle with the tories is also getting tedious.

Rishi, Penny and Liz following on from "Boris".

Meanwhile on the opposition benches we have Starmer, before him Corbyn, Miliband, Brown and Blair.
