As a precursor to the point below, I'm encouraged by the actions I've seen since Neerav talked about the future and asked that the new Board be judged by their actions. I think some progress has been made in several areas and no doubt Khaled will deserve credit for some of them. However, is it just me or does his face or his name pop up in loads of things atm? My sense is that it happens more than previous CEO's and I wonder if there's a campaign to try to address the criticism he's had previously and create a positive impression. It feels like every opportunity is being taken to position him as being at the heart of everything. Not saying it's necessarily a bad thing but it does feel as though it may be a deliberate plan.
To be fair, with what's coming out in the wash about Conman, he may not have been in any position to say mutch (if he still wanted the job).
I've only seen him on the Toby Tyke video for the 'More Wood' signing. Is he on lots of things I'm not seeing?
He seems to be on a lot of statements at the moment, players coming in, new contract signings and players leaving. I've noticed it, but having said that I don't know if this is more than what other CEOs offered before him, or whether they commented generally on signings etc. Without checking I can't say. I like Khaled despite what the naysayers say, I think his heart's in the right place.
It’s nearly always been the CEO on anything to do with club announcements. Sometimes the commercial director but mostly the CEO.
