Oh yes - just read the official (short) report. I forgot to mention Butterfill's last minute effort. It looked a goal all the way and I forgot where I was momentarily jumping up to celebrate a late winner! But it was blocked on the line. He had a short cameo near the end and looked lively and that was certainly a good effort on goal. It would have been an undeserved winner though.
I also kept a low profile, but was surprised that my escape route from the steward at the end of the match led straight into the middle of the away fans!
Just a few random thoughts. I used to write VERY long ones, if you go that far back on here (when I was Gloucester Red). But that was when I went to a few away games each season - I hardly get to any nowadays.
Really? I thought Marsh had a decent game, but was once again let down by poor service. I thought the game bypassed Ackroyd and Helliwell in the first half. He dropped deeper in the 2nd half to try and get on the ball more, and had a couple of chances to score aside from his goal.
Duff was telling Ackroyd repeatedly to do this. He also spent a lot of time trying to work out what Sraha was thinking positioning wise, could feel team mates frustration with him too in the second half.
It was nice to be there ( being local and all that) and had a good night and nice to meet 'The Prince' in person. Think I would have been disappointed when I saw the team if I had travelled up from Barnsley though.
