The extra year option might not have been affordable, or even valid in league 1. There'll be a reason the player accepted that, rather than a 4 year deal.

Looking like it is somewhere between 1-1.5m, probably some of that due to MK Dons.

I know it feels like 'yet another' but for me, totally expected and anything over £1m is good business IMO. definitely replaceable for the money, and for me his attitude last year shone brightest. arguably one of our poorest players last season, but still more than happy to dig out others.

Sounds like it could be good money for him.

Reading Blackburn sites, it appears he has been their first choice right sided player for 12 months. Perhaps he was another one of those that Conway wanted stupid money for. Brittain seemed to intimate that he had been stressed waiting for it to happen and had known about it. Whatever the truth, he needs to build his career again, I didn't realise he had played for England U20s.
Good luck to him, showed great talent in his first season at the club, when some supporters wondered why we had bought him.

I dont think many did after losing Big Val and then seeing what he was replaced with.
