Brittain was one of our better players and I’m sad to see him go.

What did you expect? We have just been relegated, were skint and in debt. Id love to keep callum brittain forever and then give him a coaching role followed by the kit mans job but realistically blackburn can pay more and we can make 1.5 million on him to plug the hole so it was always going to happen.

    Helik next.

Yeah publically slating both head coaches really should have had a good look at himself at times.

Have all the other teams that got relegated sold off pretty much their entire first team?

I'm usually glass half full...but my guess is that we could be in the pub league for some time to come.

Good luck Callum. One very good season, one very poor season. Looked completely shot of confidence at the end of last season, and the interviews he gave showed his frustration. I reckon there's a player in there, whether he was buoyed by a good side one year, or dragged down by a poor side last year, I guess we could find out now.

We need another wing back now though, more so with Jordan Williams injury record.

Not sure about Peterborough i know they sold that demble in the january window for a small fee.
Derby were ****** and will have to do a total rebuild but with 30k+ season ticket holders will have a bigger budget than ours.

I understand what he means PoR. I always thought he worked hard, particularly the previous season when he really covered some ground up and down the wing. Perhaps less so last year but as we know, none of the players were as fit and under Asbaghi the guidance seemed to be more retaining possession so turning back and passing inside.

I am with you on what you say , I though that under Val Brittain & Styles were the best pair of wing backs in the league & that is why they are/were a saleable asset , I wish him luck as I do others who are being moved on .

I think one of the reasons is for the departing player to show respect for both the club & its fans , you never know one day he might return & it is always a good idea to leave a job showing some dignity .

There seems to have been little/no speculation about the transfer fee will have got for Callum? Anyone care to have a guess? No blackies eggs please. My view is around £1.25m

It’s just nice, isn’t it? We introduced it this year because like others have pointed out, not everyone has social media. So we ask the player if they’d like to. There’s no pressure. Purely their choice.
