just on radio sheff, talks a good game , a players been for medical today ,announcment tommorow , not a striker though .
Someone might be able to confirm, as only got this over WhatsApp from a mate, but I think he also said that we sold Brittain and Morris on the 4th/5th offer made and that Styles and Helik will be in the squad tomorrow after we'd turned down offers for both of them. We just don't shout about it like Peterborough.
I hope we put a full strength team out tomorrow to beat the Blunts. That would really send out the right message and set us up nicely for Plymouth. A 0-3 defeat however….
If talking football common sense and logic got us points then we would walk the league with Duff in charge his interview was excellent and also told us we will be announcing a new signing tomorrow.
Unfortunately it was disappointing to hear him say that Norwood wouldn’t be fit for the start of the season though.
It's pre season. Certainly don't want a thrashing, but all that really matters is Plymouth. I'd take a draw & a good performance in that one. Hopefully a win vs Cheltenham, but I expect it might get worse before it gets better.
Really, REALLY hope this is true - just to shut the people up poisoning the airwaves with tripe about firesales and same old, same old again. Even though they KNOW we need to sell
Sheff U - half first team playing Burton tonight. So not strongest opponents tomorrow. Listening back now on BBC Sounds.
Yeah I’m certain he said Helik and Styles will be involved tomorrow so Helik better knock abart it’s a fair trek from Poznań.
The fact we have turned down multiple bids and we are playing them says a lot. Cough up whoever’s bidding
Love the way he talks about local lads walking around proud as punch with replica team shirts on. Why wasn't he in charge last season. Such a shame we have him picking the pieces up after last year's debacle.
Last season's dreadful head coach appointments have cost the club millions. The fact that 3 of last season's squad have been bought by clubs in the top 8 or so of the Championship and that there have been bids for at least two more highlights this. It's hard to believe we'd have been anywhere near bottom of the table if Duff had been appointed 12 months ago.
Are you sure that Peterborough aren't about to receive £20m for a 16 year old though? Darragh McAnthony said they are.
Anyone ITK who can tell us the name of this player? Can we automatically write the lad off as not being good enough for us (like some have already done with our six new players) before he's even pulled on a shirt in a league game?
It would be good to know. It'll save us plenty of time looking said player up, seeing what we think about him, reading reports and articles about him from his managers, coachs and the fans if we know for a fact he didn't come from a top 6 premier league academy...
