I’ll be notifying the minister for brexit opportunities that due to me getting fed up of the blatant lies the press calls news, I stopped buying my morning paper. I just worked out that I saved about £1500 in 3years. And they say brexit’s a failure!!
Well done. Keep that up and Kirsty Allsop will be using you as an example of how to save for a mortgage
Just got to cancel Netflix now and stop buying Starbucks and a 3 storey townhouse in Mayfair is within reach.
You fool, you didn't have to give up anything, you obviously just weren't believing in Brexit enough!
Notice another Brexit bonus on the news today - needing to give yourself 6 hours to clear immigration at Dover still it saves you spending hours eating food in expensive French restaurants https://inews.co.uk/news/port-of-do...ocial&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1658473451-1
The EU have opened further legal proceedings given that we're not even trying to live up to our side of the bargain, that we negotiated and proposed. Our response, shady Sunak tries to pretend he's more hardcore brexit than hardcore brexit (while she thinks there's votes in it) Truss and we slide down deeper into whatever the modern version of Dante's inferno is.
That's right. Do what I’ve done - completely rewired my brain to believe everything the Tories tell me. Never been happier. Now I believe Britain is world-beating at everything with the best trade deals the best everything. I also believe Duff will have us in the Championship next season and the Prem year after. I believe Conway did his best for us. See? Easy. You don’t have to bother with all that thinking malarky. Oh, and the queues at Dover are caused by the French. The Government told me. So have that Johnny Foreigner.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...RS-ferry-Dover-chaos-French-blame-Brexit.html I wonder how long bosses are going to use Brexit as the excuse to hide their own shortcomings for. As it says they have had six bloody years to prepare and clearly haven't used that time to get their house in order.
But it is entirely down to Brexit and our government refusing to accept the consequence’s. It takes about 4 times as long to process each U.K. based car as it used to Everyone knew this was happening but project fear etc. the government however refused to acknowledge this fact Brexit was always going to cause problems admitting that and putting plans in place would have mitigated them but of course cost money Our totally corrupt government stuck to the no downsides lie They refused to do anything even when it’s was pointed out This from 2020 https://www.cityam.com/govt-rejects...s-at-dover-leaving-longer-queues-more-likely/ Now of course they are blaming the French. It’s always someone else’s fault
Side of a bus Oven ready deal Rules were complied with One cannot deny appointments on rumours and hearsay. Oh! I forgot Testing his eyesight Oops, sorry. I apologise And btw I have just about done everything I wanted to do, Hasta la vista, Baby.
Why should they get their house in order? WE left not them. It's OUR citizens who suffer not theirs. Remind me again why it's their problem that we chose to leave the EU and that our citizens are queuing in our country?
The reality is that every time we have approached a deadline, the Government have postponed it. Hence many businesses that had been gearing up for said deadlines are now beginning to think "why should I bother, they'll only delay it again". On the specific case of Dover, the port authority requested £33m from Government 3 years ago for improved infrastructure to avoid what has been happening for the last few days, they were turned down. Anyone who still thinks Brexit was a good idea should watch a Government propaganda film about the "simple" processes now required for exporting to Europe - where previously there was literally nothing to do except stick it on a truck and drive. I'll try to find a link.
Well, having watched that video, I can’t understand why anyone would think that simply loading your products on a lorry and driving it to its destination was better than this streamlined method. Well done you brexit voters, another win!
Not helped by P&O closing the Hull-Zeebrugge link which got you as near to France as bugger is to swearing.
This isn't it then? https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/uk-news/brits-travelling-spain-must-prove-24574490
Are these new rules though? Or are they simply existing rules for visitors from non-EU countries which now apply to the UK? In all likelyhood these would be rules Spain introduced to limit the number of people coming across the Med from North Africa. I'm not sure but I'll find out. There are many such rules - many different in different countries - which we may now be subject to. Brexit, the gift that keeps giving.... My sister confirms that these rules have been in Spain for many years and now being applied to us so NOT new rules. Apparently people are chosen at random so you might get away with it... oh and there are very similar rules in France so expect them to be applied to Brits sometime soon.
