Mead scoring got two bets up in one go.

Skybet had Mead and White to both have a shot on target at 2/1 and Paddy Power had Mead and Stanway both to have a shot on target at 3/1.

Were they special offer prices? Because they seem pretty high considering the number of chances England have been creating.

She’s very good and capable of playing L1 / L2 level imo

Yeah specials. I like shots on target bets. Skybet will be back to their even money a shot on target specials for guys like Salah and Kane when the season starts again.

Out of interest, in betting - or match stats for that matter - does hitting the woodwork count as on target?

Do you think so? I think it’s hard to gauge but where I get to is every player on the pitch would be absolutely miles off playing at that level. Would be interested to see a top class women’s international team play a league one men’s side.

She wouldn't get no where near the Frickley squad imo.

Great start to the second half. Wish BBC had shown the var though.

i think with the right intensity training yes. The skill levels are there and in positions where less physicality is needed think there could be crossover. Agreed that would be a good match up.

The forwards seem to get all the plaudits, but, Millie Bright has been absolutely outstanding all through the tournament

Here’s how Team USA got on against Dallas U15’s. Just a kickabout really depending on which media outlet or journalist reports it.

    https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/ne...-the-u-s-womens-national-team-in-a-scrimmage/

I just see them as two different sports with zero need to compare. I doubt the women would make any impact at league level in the men’s game but there isn’t anything wrong with that and nor does it have any reflection on how good they are within their own setup.

Personally I don’t think there’s no way Beth Mead would be strong enough for the championship but can we not make it about that and let’s talk about how fantastic these lionesses are doing, I’ve loved this tournament and gutted I didn’t get a ticket for any of their games.

Both the US women and Australian women have lost to club u15s teams. England would lose to Penistone Church.
