I'm not sure they'd get away with calling him shadow these days but it was an intimidating name for that event. Think he was useless at anything that involved running like that Dodge Ball like one with the baskets.
recall when a youngster being amazed to see the film that was showing in my local cinema was also showing in a cinema in a town some miles away at the same time -- also used to think that someone switched on cats-eyes at night !
I went to watch it the NIA or NEC in Birmingham. Can’t remember which, just that I blagged my dad for a massive foam finger which cost about £15 in the mid 90s! Jet, Lightning, Scorpio, Panther… I was about 13 or 14 so they all spent several evenings with me in my imagination.
