    Ok.

    Peterborough were probably not criminally mismanaged behind the scenes, leaving them already in debt before being relegated.

    Peterborough have an owner which may be able - and open - to funding a shortfall.

    However - and this is the biggie - it’s not even August, they WILL sell players. In fact it is rumoured that Blackburn have had a bid accepted for Szmodics. Peterborough always sell players and very rarely for how much their chairman suggests he gets.

    The purpose of our own footballing club existence is to try and earn people like Mrs Quay and Mr Lee and Mr Conway a return on their financial investment, without it costing themselves any money.

    I thought we all knew that.

    Our owners won't go further. It's not a labour of love. There is no emotional attachment.

    Nothing wonderful is going to happen.
