2 words, 1 name Hemsy - Jamie Vardy. Look at the level he played at for years. Just admit your bias, bask in it. Just don't slate our players who aren't part of your bias.
One man in Holland's view, auto-translated below, bit about Tedic in italics. Sounds perfect to replace Vic if "the ball keeps bouncing off his feet" 1 trick pony, PEC loses again • PEC.nu - For and by PEC Zwolle supporters These are difficult times for us PEC supporters, just like in the Sunderland documentary on Netflix or Feyenoord on Disney or even Utrecht on Videoland, I heard the hopeful phrase "Zwolle never gives up, you come on top of it" reverberate after the game. A sentence in which everything from the past months comes back. The conviction, frustration, disappointment and despair. In a sold-out stadium, PEC kicked off today at 20:00 against SC Heerenveen. Where the Frisians were the better in the initial phase, PEC slowly and surely took the game to itself. It wasn't good, so the midfield with Huiberts and Saymak at PEC was not involved in the game at all. There was no creativity, but only fear of having the ball. Nevertheless, it was PEC that became especially dangerous through the backs and wingers. More than in recent weeks, the supply of Tedic was more than sufficient. Kastaneer, in particular, continuously provided a threat. Unfortunately, Redan and Tedic were not sharp enough when the trigger had to be pulled. The Frisians did not come into the game which had a lot to do with the high pressure of PEC. The Frisians were continuously trapped in their own half from the keeper Mous. Occasionally the Frisians showed their teeth with the always dangerous Henk Veerman, this was mainly expressed in a few shots that ended up in the side net. The biggest chance out of the 1e half; came from a corner when van Beek cleverly bought in but fortunately it was Lamprou who managed to prevent an unjustified lead with a feline save. The second half there were no substitutions and soon followed a 1e opportunity for PEC. Kastaneer manages to reach Tedic after a sprint. Unfortunately, Tedic did not keep enough overview after which he did not play the ball wide but saw his weak effort turned away from the turn. PEC continues to turn on and in the 55e minute follows another great opportunity when Pebai breaks through. Unfortunately, Tedic is nowhere to be seen and no one enters the ball. About Tedic, it can and should be said now. That boy doesn't play anything as a striker. In a match like today, with the balls he got today, he does very little with it as a striker. Not for a moment do you have the idea that Tedic is tapping a ball in. If you do not score yourself, then function, for the team, at least as a coat rack. But the ball is constantly bouncing out of the feet of the intended dream striker. After 8 games he didn't convince me for a moment. The problem: PEC has no alternatives in their selection, the team cannot bring in an icebreaker instead of him. If you do not score the goals yourself, the opponent often scores. In the 64e minute that happened what you could expect, Heerenveen broke through via a long ball and the effort ended up via the unfortunate Bram van Polen behind Lamprou. Very undeserved and yet deserved. The players of PEC with Tedic in front are too scared/anxious to score themselves. The hard-working zwollenaren continuously made the wrong choices. What followed was that PEC, despite the vocal support of the audience, in the remainder of the match, did not do anything at all. Yes, PEC changed but there was no plan B and Zwolle continued to play the same. The visitors sat back with the knowledge that PEC will not score after all. It is a miracle for me that the audience still remains so quiet, in Zwolle we are completely beaten up in the rain. The many lies about the finances, the nice talk of the technical manager, the endless words in the columns of the trainer those pointless environmentally friendly cups. The theory of PEC does not correspond to practice. The selection, they are all doing their best and there is certainly a lot of potential in a few years. But this is so poor. The audience deserves so much better! Nevertheless, we go to the next game. Zwolle never gives up! Someday we'll get on top of it! Coming soon to HBO!
You would have thought after the Oulare debacle we would stay well clear but no not Barnsley let’s carry on making the same mistakes and hope for the best…unbelievable.
Regarding Oulare, this is surely when insurance kicks in.If he's out injured for some time including rehab hopefully either their insurance pay his salary or ours do ?
Wasn't aware that was a usual thing (the 20%) but given you have now said he's done his ACL it takes y to a whole new level. Insurance job? What an absolute crock of turd this player/situation has turned out to be. Not sure how it could get any worse
His insurance could be in Paul Conway's name, so he gets the payout. I'm sure that things can always get worse...
I think it's fair to say their predicament closely matched ours last season. Strikers up top with no confidence, no creativity from the midfield, the many lies about the finances, the nice talk of the technical manager... It happens. Look at Troy Deeney last season for Birmingham.
What has this lad got in common with Oulare? Genuinely interested to know, because I'm struggling to see many similarities other than him not having a prolific last couple of years.
Still one of my all time favourites hence the name lol. 8 stone wet through but tough as hell and what a finisher.
But aside from that? Prior to going on loan in the Dutch Premier League (which is a better standard to League 1), his goal record was okay-ish for a young target man type striker. I wouldn't say its shocking.
If he can run without getting injured then i suppose he’s an upgrade on Oulare.I genuinely hope the lad signs and does the business for us i just think it’s a very dangerous game to play based on last season’s foreign recruits and especially when George Hirst and that Joseph from Swansea have been mentioned.
Considering we won't be contributing much to his wages, I don't think it's that much of a risk. It either works out or it doesn't. I fully expect Hirst and Joseph to go out on loan (I'm not convinced by either of their goal records either while we're at it), and there's no reason why we won't be in the hunt for one of them either, if the money is right. We definitely need 2 more strikers.
