I reckon it’s pending as our ace negotiators try to get trans to decrease the amount they are willing to spend.
But with add ons it could be as high as £1.67m which would make him the highest fee ever paid by a Polish club.(according to a journalist)
Wow, he could have gone to a Shetland isle club for £50… I’m guessing it would be their record fee too… but doesn’t mean we should accept it.
We're known as a soft touch. Quite frankly it's embarrassing. Khaled has his pants down ready to take it
I agree 100 per cent, the powers that be are happy, and thats it, bitching, moaning, gerrin depressed, running your bloood pressure up, ect, ect, aint gunner alter anything, i support the club, and i buy an Home an Away shirt every year regardless, i choose which games to watch, mostly away, and thats it. C,O,Y,R,
If that’s the best offer on the table I’m not sure where the club can go. The longer he plays in L1 the more his value will wain, along with his international aspiration’s. A player is only worth what a club is willing to pay. We also don’t know if Helik is wanting to go home for personal reasons?
Lots of frustration but i’m pretty sure the most frustrated will be the owners. Selling players for amounts less than you’d hope means greater cuts will be required. Either that or injection of cash from the owners. Pretty sure they aren’t deliberately selling players for less but the market below the very best has collapsed.
Shaun calls it. i doubt they are deliberately selling our players for small fees which just leaves them as serially incompetent
Don't sell Helik then. Leave it till January. Keep him because he's a friggin Collossus. Compare him to what happened Saturday. Offload Styles or play him in his best position. If our ownership boils down to having to balance the books every season, and where they have no obvious idea of how to produce a winning team, what is their point?
Joys of owning a football club when you’ve spaffed £10m up the wall and the transfer market has collapsed. The club needs around £7m raising in the summer to make it through the season. If they can’t get the cash in they either stump up or appoint an administrator. If anyone is in any doubt this is a fire sale the club is skint.
100% this The mismanagement this club is having to recover from is total incompetence bordering on the criminal
Well correct me if I'm wrong but this is the same ownership. Everyone keeps saying that we had a war chest when we went down last time. So when we go up (which we did) presumably there's a bonus. Bigger chest. Where did the money go? We have by no means been reckless. So it boils down to having tighter owners than other clubs. Is that right?
The accumulated losses over their ownership are close to £11m. All the money that was in the club when they took over has gone. The current board are trying to balance the books after four years of losses. Having a wage bill of over £14m means that the club loses money in the championship if there isn’t significant profit from player sales. The ‘sustainable’ approach was anything but. The current board are picking up the pieces and will have to make tough decisions to get through this. Other owners use their personal wealth to prop up clubs, think of Mel Morris, Dejphon Chansiri and Dave Whelan. We don’t have owners willing to risk their personal wealth so it comes down to cutting the cloth accordingly.
Club can't win. Stay quiet and we might get more in offers. Let the fans know we are skint, and publicise they have poured a million in, now every bugger and their dog knows we are skint. So what inventive do other clubs have to offer more. Zero. We've made it known. They only have to bide their time and they will get cheap. Only way to win now, is publicly state we are not selling cheap, but in fact covering what loses we have. It's that, or we go back 10 years and start from scratch and be little old Barnsley pulling out pants down ready.... So for the next few years be prepared to be back in the cryne era, whereby we change an entire squad every season. Until we can get back into a position to stagger contracts. We are, make no mistake years back. Years.
Left midfield/back, as far out/forward as your system allows. Without being a left back or a left wing.
We’re also in a position with Helik that he’s a free agent next summer. Sadly, whatever the official line in the media, we just can’t afford to let our players run down their contracts if we can get some sort of fee. The other disappointing aspect is because the transfer market is still suppressed, we have to sell more players than what we would have had to do previously.
