I don’t why but I didn’t believe this story but it is apparently true . She is buried near the first hole of one of Trumps golf courses enabling him to avoid a number of taxes and charges as he can say it’s a cemetery https://amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/jul/31/donald-ivana-trump-cemetery-golf-course-taxes
A new low for the left, their many eager media mouthpieces, and of course the morons who cut and paste that very same media's vile invective as if it in any way represents factual truth.
You mean the rumours that were bought and paid for by the Hilary Clinton campaign, and (like all other democrat lines of attack to date) have long since been debunked/discredited? For somebody so uninformed, the emoji you chose was hardly the best idea.
Can you tell me what is untrue in the Guardian article ? Was Ivanna Trump not buried on the golf course then And what’s this got to do with the left wing.
Woman runs into pro golf shop screaming, i've been stung between the first and second hole, the guy at the counter sez, your stance is obviously too wide.
Cut and paste something that proves it’s not true , the Guardian is a fairly reputable journalistic source but I’m sure your mates from QAnon can come up with something. As for your claim it’s a Hilary Clinton lie and debunked ages ago , Ivana Trump only died recently
A corrupt guy, a racist, a compulsive liar, a terrible buisness man, and an idiot, walks onto the golf course, Welcome back Mr Trump, said the door man
Why is she buried on the property of her ex husband? Why didn't her children arrange for her to be buried somewhere else? I'm sure there is a reason but I haven't seen it.
It's not what's untrue, it's what is true. Surely if you publish a claim, it's more on the newspaper to have to prove that claim to be true, rather than objectors having to evidence why it isn't? I dunno, surely the Trumps, with their collective wealth, could afford a conventional burial if Ivana wanted that? Surely his children wouldn't just step aside if they were unhappy? You would think the guardian would have approached the family for comment, I'm not saying they have an agenda or anything Also, Trump himself apparently wants to be buried under the golf course, so it would be a pretty poor attempt at disrespect if he himself is planning on the same patch of land. I know it's incredibly fashionable to hate Trump, and I'm expecting the usual tag-team pile-on at least, just for playing devil's advocate, which is fine, but the key question that nobody is asking here is, maybe she wanted to be buried there?
I'd never heard of Bedminster pre Trump. I doubt we'll ever hear much of it post Trump. I might make a special effort to play it if he was buried there.
Read this article last night and thought, hmmmm, not sure about this. I particularly disliked "I couldn't believe her 3 kids--whom she apparently loved & who loved her--would allow their father to treat their mother like this. Burying Ivana in little more than a pauper's grave disgraces them all." Hang on a minute, who the hell is this Brooke Harrington to judge? Anyhoo, the whole article is based on the opinion of the afore mentioned Brooke Harrington, a sociology professor, who did a bit of reading-up on tax laws based on some Twitter posts, then Tweeted her opinion. It's not a good article, and stands up to no scrutiny at all. Not having a go at @Durkar Red - I've no problem with him posting this, I did find the subject interesting. I like The Guardian, read it regularly and contribute financially to it. I don't like Donald Trump, I dislike him quite acutely. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he did bury Ivanna on a golf course in order to avoid paying tax. But crucially, there isn't a single shred of evidence that this was his motivation, or that he's attempted to pay less tax after doing so. I don't believe this article can be categorised as news, it basically says, 'Man did this, so potentially he could also do this'. Yeah, well, we could all potentially do all sorts of things, but some journo ruminating on that does not a legitimate news story make.
