Can you bring one in stadium? Taking my son to his first game on Saturday but will need to bring supplies and the dreaded potty gonna need a rucksack but says on website they advise against it? Can someone clarify
Nice one cheers I haven’t been for a couple years with him being younger so completely couldn’t recall! Tar
As said I expect they would want to search it and to be honest I would hope they do so. I imagine they advise agasint them as if large numbers turned up it would slow things now significantly.
Just need to avoid explosive diarrhea if you're bringing a potty. Wouldn't want Oakwell evacuating because of a 5hit bomb going off.
Unless it’s changed from last season, They’ll search the bag and tie a band around it, like they do with hand luggage at the airport, just to show it’s been inspected
Taken from o/s Bag checks in operation: Whilst we will do everything to get supporters into the stadium as quickly as possible, we will not compromise standards with our searching policies, therefore we strongly advise that you arrive early. Bags will only be allowed into the stadium that are no bigger than 35cm x 20cm x 20cm. This will assist our stewards to search people quicker, thus reducing any queues at the turnstiles. Unless it is absolutely necessary, please leave bags at home. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks and luggage of any kind. Supporters will see bags being tagged by stewards and this will remain the case. Once your bag has been tagged DO NOT remove that tag until you have left the ground. There are no exceptions to this policy, unless for medical equipment, and we request that you get permission in advance in this case. If this applies to you, please contact us ahead of the match/event day by calling 01226 211211 or emailing reception@barnsleyfc.co.uk and we will be happy to make necessary arrangements. We appreciate your support and co-operation as we continue to make Oakwell a safe and welcoming environment for all to enjoy an amazing matchday experience
In the end I walked straight through with it nobody checked it and nobody tagged it lol I asked a steward if it needed checking they said I don’t know… was happy to get in with the rucksack but could have had anything in it would have thought the checks would have been a bit more thorough
Yeah same I went and asked a steward to get that tag as iv read about it on the website before but the gent I approached didn’t have a clue
My carrier bag with 2 cushions and a bit of snap was given a cursory search but it was fairly obvious it didnt contain any weapons or even cans of pop
Just the idea of a large bad going unchecked is worrying to me. We know what the consequences can be.
