What was it like today? I didn't renew my ST and have decided to stay away from the club for a while until I see some changes and I'm not just talking about results on the pitch. I'm seeing reports of birdshlte on seats, timerider gone. Has there been any actual improvements? I know a win makes everything feel a bit better.
Absolutely nothing had changed that I noticed. Tried the alcohol free beer though and that was actually quite nice and free today.
The fanzone was ok, sadly I was a bit late to sample the free beer . Didn't see any bird poo to be fair. Could do with a bit more atmosphere, I tried to get "Red Army" going in the 2nd half but it was like flogging a dead horse.......
In the West Stand at half time some supervisors came round and helped the catering staff utilise some common sense and helped people get served more quickly. Don’t know if that usually happens.
I haven’t been for a while but I was quite impressed by the branding and signage around the stadium seemed the general marketing has come a long way from when we didn’t know if the club badge was the one on the shirt or the tacky looking Toby tyke one lol Fan zone looked poor but I guess on a budget that’s all your gonna get Didn’t get chance to try the kids areas but looking forward to doing that another time.
I tried it as well and thought it wasn’t bad , also you can take it to your seat ( technically not alcohol free as it’s 0.5 abv)
Call me old fashioned but match day experience for me is all about team performance and result. In that sense I saw a team giving 100%, not without a fair few faults but 3 points in the bag so that’ll do me.
Fan zone was good. Went to get a pint at half time and yet again service was painfully slow in east lower. Not the fault of the employees, just a poor set up. Ran out of pint pots and both lagers went off.
Just a silly English rule that one. More alcohol in a ripe banana or a slice of bread. Not the case in Scotland or Europe.
I think, although it’s been a long day, that in England, and probably Wales, Alcohol Free has to be lower than 0.05%. In Scotland it’s anything 0.5% or lower. Because BrewDog is produced in Scotland, we can say Alcohol Free, whereas an English brewery can’t officially say that. That’s why all the European lagers are pitched as alcohol free, because you can say whatever is the rule in your country of origin/production.
What a silly system! Had they all drunk a Scottish alcohol free gallon, before coming up with the idea?
Bonkers system. 0.5% is alcohol free but we just can’t say it. ‘Bananas make alcohol as it ripens, so if you like to eat them ripe with brown spots, it can contain a very small amount of alcohol. A banana at a very ripe stage contains less than 0.05g of alcohol’ FOODS THAT CONTAIN ALCOHOL burger rolls – up to 1.28g per 100g (1.28% ABV) rye bread – up to 0.18g per 100g (0.18% ABV) banana (ripe) – up to 0.2g per 100g (0.2% ABV) banana (very ripe with dark bits) – up to 0.4g per 100g (0.4% ABV) pear (ripe) – up to 0.04g per 100g (0.04% ABV) cherry yoghurt – up to 0.02g per 100g (0.02% ABV)
