I'm still really confused. So hex.com isn't a company? No company exists? Then who is selling the product?

Well we’ve got a club statement of sorts.

A none statement. It also seems that they are only actually investigating the specific tweets. Worrying that they don't seem interested in the general morality of hex as a whole, just these few tweets. The same as when the trust put 4 questions to them and their reply only acknowledged the tweets and ignored the rest of the questions

It’s a holding statement. I imagine we now have a very expensive team of lawyers looking at how we can get out of this deal.

I get that but it's a holding statement that has taken far too long to come and only acknowledges a small portion of the complaints against hex. It doesn't even mention who the complaints are against

It has taken far too long, but it isn’t as easy to establish exactly who they are. Not the anonymous twitter hexicans, anyway. I mean, it looks obvious, but due diligence must be necessary when ditching a sponsorship deal. Especially when you didn’t do enough before signing up to it.

    At least it's now "official"

As Marc was saying it should have come from official channels to start with, rather than using the ST.

But now the club have officially put that out, then well....

    spectemur agendo indeed

I think it’s really poor. Those kind of quotes and statements are fine when you’re drip feeding them through other channels, like the local media or your Supporters’ Trust. It bides you some time and avoids bringing the issue front and centre for absolutely everyone.

To then repeat the same message 24 hours later doesn’t feel right. Not impressed personally, but also appreciate whatever is going on in the background won’t be easy regardless of the route the club decide to take as the next course of action.

Hey, if it weren't for the ST we would still be sat here wondering.

At least it's accelerated it a bit. But, it's becoming a little embarrassing how some business/Comms are being managed. (not the actual Comms team btw)

I’d imagine the lawyers are saying ‘don’t say anything’, based on my experience with them they’re the most risk averse people in the world. That doesn’t make it right though it’s a complete shambles this and getting worse.

There is that as well, which I was kind of getting at with my last point. Still doesn’t help with that ‘unimpressed’ feeling but any action on this isn’t an overnight thing for sure.

Well. lets say I invented a new currency, lets say it's called CodCoin. I then tell you that if you exchange £10 for 1 CodCoin and "locked" it down for 2 years, you could earn 36% interest(your interest is paid in CodCoin, not £'s). You can't however get a refund or change it back to £'s through me(even at a loss). Instead, you would need to find someone else to agree to swap your CodCoin for £'s. Already sounds crap, doesn't it?

The trouble is, it gets worse. To get your 36% "interest", you and the other poor sods conned into buying my coin need to actively market the coin and recruit others into the scheme, or it all collapses and the only person who ends up with any real money is it's creator, me. Even worse, eh?

So it's a Ponzi scheme in everything but name.

It will be soon. I've just got to fire the random number generator up to decide what interest rate it will pay at...
