I don’t believe this for one second.

Hopefully you don’t either, more just the heat of the moment after the game.

Tbh I never thought our defence was ok as long as Kitchin is being played .
Awful player with no awareness whatsoever , I thought it in the Championship and even more so in league one .
Not his fault , the data that identified him needs a re tweak imo .
From the day of his debut to present I have not thought he will improve , there’s nothing there to improve upon , what we seeing is what we getting for the duration of his career , I’d advise him to go back boxing .

I'll settle for him being brave enough to go for the win from the kick off.

We're lacking a leader and communicator in defence, people having acres of space to pick their spot from 18 yards just shouldn't be happening, cost us at Plymouth and today.

Well I went and I’m now channelling my Nan. “If you’ve got nowt nice to say then say nowt”. So I’m saying nowt other than there is *some* room for improvement.

Style of play is a load of bull unless you are one of the rich clubs, at the end of the day it's about winning or losing, nobody cared when we was winning under Val and they won't care again if we are winning under duff, had enough chances in the game to come out with something if we had half a decent striker, can blame the board for that for selling both our strikers and not getting anybody decent in.

I thought Norwood was one of our best players today, I love his nous and awareness but he played the wrong half unfortunately, we had little attacking intent until the game was lost.

I've liked your verve and gusto but think you're wrong about Duff.

Certainly got to give him a good crack at it but I'd like to see us be a bit more positive from the off.
Very early days but getting plenty of players behind the ball doesn't seem to be making us any stronger defensively.

This is no disrespect to Duff but he's at a bigger club with better players. Maybe he's that set on defence from his time at Cheltenham and is finding his feet at a bigger club.

Once we win a few (which I've no doubt we will) both players and manager will have found their mojo.

He said he needs 4 players and more importantly knows which positions and what he needs.

I like him. He plays it down but even for our financial plight we're a big club. He needs to get his head around things.

The signs are good this far. I really want him to succeed.

Great points and totally agree mate, wins certainly breed confidence and that is what we need to get things moving forward.

I think most of us knew this would be hard and frustrating, and that we'd have to support Duff and show some patience.
I thought we'd lose this today, but I hoped we'd at least have a go at them and not leave it too late like at Plymouth.
It is a work in progress, not much more to say really.

We lost today, if you look at the result, because Collins misjudged a cross.

It might have been a different game had he not done so, of course.

Overall, we were the better footballing team. But both central forwards were as our forwards have recently been. Which is woefully inadequate.

None of them (after substitutions too) are going to float our boat beyond mid table.

Looking at Cheltenham’s performance against us they are not far behind us at all .

The most frustrating thing about today was that we could have won it.

I think Derby were a much better team than us. However, the goals we conceded were largely self inflicted and we played them on a very hot day. In the second half they were done. 5 of the Derby starting 11 were 29 and above and it showed in that heat. Last season our fitness levels were terrible, but that didn't look the case today. Even in 30 degree heat we were still OK, and we made subs to keep energy in the team. If we'd been half decent in defence in the first half, and restricted them to just 1-0, and brought Norwood on for the last half hour, rather than have him tiring himself out against fresh legs from the off, I think we would have won it.

No we haven’t - last season we were absolutely gash and never at any point looked like coming back when going behind. We wouldn’t have deserved it but we might have got a point today.

I agree about Norwood, it seems daft to play him when we've got no real intent of attacking and then take him off when we become desperate and commit player's foreward.

Well I'm trying to establish how you conclude that Derby were a much better team than us.

If you didn't go, that might explain it.

You won't find anyone, at least from Barnsley, who went and watched who would think Derby were better than us. Never mind "much".

And I'm at the front of the queue in being our biggest critic, given half a chance.

The only superiority was in the result.

(I didn't even have a drink beyond water, before aspertions are cast).
