It's no surprise and no different to the song about Bambo. Where was the public outcry in defence of him on Twitter, or is it different when it's a man? People would argue that as a man it should be flattering to have that chanted at you, but he never asked for it, the same as the female physio. Not aimed at you by the way @SuperTyke, just a general observation. Would those same bellends shout your ****'s fookin massive to a man or boy in the street? It's the same principle. In fact, I would argue the song about Bambo was worse as there was a racial element on top. I also wouldn't say it's preying on women in the same way they weren't preying on Bambo, it's just juvenile. And still disgusting. I do find it ironic that she has 'at'd' Joey Barton by the way, that lovely upstanding man of high society who allegedly beat his wife up. But there we go. Men vs women eh. Let's remember we're all human beings and there is no room for this type of unwanted attention regardless of sex.
And? What's the relevance? Imagine this scenario A man walking through Barnsley gets surrounded by thugs who threaten to beat him up. A UFC fighter hears about it and sticks up for the man saying that the people threatening him were cowards and a disgrace. Would you say well done for sticking up for what's right? Or would you say 'how can you complain about anyone, you fight for a living'? I am 100% certain your attitude wouldn't be the same as it is to a woman tonight
There was loads of complaints (rightly) about the Bambo song. The club even put out a statement about it I think.
That bit was maybe uncalled for but then your whole post was uncalled for so I’m going to stand by it.
And yet it continued to be sung every game, even long after he left, despite the statement that the club put out (that @JamDrop mentions). And it was never followed up. People just brushed it under the carpet, or turned the other cheek.
Sorry, but that is never an excuse for sexism. You make some good posts, but this isn't one of them I'm afraid. Like saying all Muslims are evil due to ISIS. Poor choice of post, I hope that you reflect & withdraw that one.
Depends what you consider 'people' the club maybe did but I'm not the club. I didn't and a lot of other people didn't.
