Wow thats some leap! Maybe we should also ask women to stop dressing attractively as well as that MAKES us objectify them - perhaps they should all wear baggy long dresses with long sleeves and perhaps some head and face covering so us men dont look at them the wrong way. I know something like a Burqua.

Personally I wouldnt subscribe to Lucy's site but if she is happy to show off her body for money and there are adults prepared to pay to watch her I don't see a lot wrong with it myself. To then blame her for mens behaviour towards other women is putting the blame in totally the wrong place. Personally Id blame the men doing the objectifying rather than another woman who has no connection to Bristol's Physio

She's standing up for another woman having disgusting songs sung about her. Would it be ok if it was your daughter or granddaughter having that sung at them? Just because she sells nude pics it doesn't mean she doesn't have a right to call out bad behaviour. It shouldn't matter what she does in her personal life.

It was very audible in ESU - I would estimate 100+ people chanting. Pathetic. Was very noticeable that despite the injury being level with the edge of the penalty box the physio went the long way round after to get back to the dugout to avoid going back past the ponte end. I had my 14yo daughter with me and the look on her face said it all. 1 depressing part of a great evening.......

One of the reasons I won't take my 11 year old daughter.

Shocking. I am surprised we haven't released a statement condoning it and wanting help to track down the culprits. They are probably busy getting the Plymouth shirts ready to auction off nearly a month late or doing the follow up statement about Hex.

I'm hoping/praying that you meant to type 'condemning' and not 'condoning'?

Totally unacceptable that the Bristol physio was greeted with clearly audible neanderthal sexist chants whilst just going about her job at her place of work. Offensive, embarrassing and unnecessary.

I'm guessing to some extent but I bet there'll have been some crossover with the 50-100 'people' who were chanting the 'Y' word (think Andrew Gale) at various points at a home supporter in the first half at Derby. It really wasn't a pleasant place to be to watch football at the top of that Derby stand. After doing the vast majority of away games for most of my life, I am now considering calling it a day because of these people who increasingly are making away days, at best, a toil of a pleasure.

Related to which, the stewarding at Derby has to be some of the very worst we have experienced. As a result I've decided this season to do something about it when I experience situations and so have written to Derby pointing out both the seat locations of a couple of the offenders (although I doubt they will be the original ticket holders) and the behaviours of their stewards that contributed to allowing things to happen and/or go completely unfettered. I'll be interested in what kind of response/action is taken, if any, and that will inform my decision on future games.

Therefore, it's good to hear that BFC are taking steps to improve stewarding and I hope this will extend to the rooting out of the persistent offensive, discriminatory core that ruin things for so many.

    Why?

Why does one person choosing to make a living how they see fit make it right to objectify all persons of the same gender?

This is absolute horse shi.te. The issue is the men who see fit to objectify all women in such a manner - not the feeble excuse of why it happens.

Porn doesn’t need banning. Or only fans or anything else that is out there. There are men who make a living that way too. I don’t think that leads to men in completely different and unrelated occupations be asked to get their c.ock out by sections of pathetic women. Or I’m yet to hear that if it does happen.

Neanderthalic juvenile ‘men’ need to be educated - or at least utilise the knowledge they already should have - that it is not acceptable in a civilised society to behave like that.

It’s always the same corner of the Ponte End as well, the same section who sang the Bambo song, populated by a lot of the same folk who can’t handle having half a shandy, a lot of which who go to away games and make it intolerable for a lot of reasonable fans to go away anymore, especially with kids.

    Don’t shift the blame here.

You can have your opinion, and jamdrop, like me, can offer our opinion as to why we think it is absolutely and completely flawed.

Or horse sh.ite as I eloquently put it in the last post.

The reason they do it is because in their tiny minds they think because they`ve paid their money, anyone is fair game for abuse.

100% agree. Its just bizarre in this day and age having learnt all about this type of issue in PSHE at school from the age of 13 that anyone thinks it's acceptable or funny or big or clever. It's not lads just makes you look like numpties. Interesting on twitter people defending it as "bantz" or anyone offended is a "snowflake" or the physio in question should "get used to it" Ffs. Why should anyone in any work environment have to get used to 100+ spotty teenagers chanting "get your t*&s out for the lads"? Unbelievable. Really surprised club havent commented esp with this week seemingly being the EFL inclusion campaign launch.

They wouldn’t walk into a supermarket and up to a cashier and tell them to get their tits out, or their child’s teacher, or their boss, or even at the football if their partner was with them. Porn still exists in the world then but they are suddenly able to control themselves. They only do it in groups at the football because they’ve had some beer to make them brave, they want to look big in front of their mates and they know the chances of them being caught is minimal. Porn has absolutely nothing to do with it and they know it.

just bumped up the message from the Club re 'The EFL New Equality Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.'

No good the Club promoting an Inclusion Strategy if it doesn't have a strategy for dealing with any behaviour which would preclude Inclusion - such as the chanting directed at the Bristol Rovers physio.

Would it be so difficult to identify the 'chanters' and exclude them ?

Or better still offer them a chance to come back after they have done a diversity awareness course - Id rather they were educated out of their wrong behaviour if possible - obviously repeat offenders get banned properly

Why are any offensive words and gestures allowed in the ground, why does no one complain when the fans suggest the ref is a certain offensive word ,think you should be able to go to football and not here any swearing

Anyone using the phrase "it's just a bit of bantz" is almost certainly a bully, a racist or a sex pest. Probably all three.
