Sadly, when the Rovers physio came on, I said to my son that both clubs had a female physio - a positive step forward. Then this chant happened - not a good look for the club & us. Good statement by the club!

Sigh. I just don't get it. What does it actually achieve for them other than making them look like *****? Is just purely down to booze? Is it because their mam dint love them enough? Why???

I didn't actually hear it ( think I'm getting deaf in my old age) but my daughter said she did

Whilst I totally agree with what Bristol Rovers say on this issue, I find the double standards shown by their employment of Joey Barton quite staggering.

I sit row G in the Ponte End and it was definitely further back than us. Seemed to be the area that a lot of the singing starts, fortunately this one didn't catch on quite as much as some of the other songs do.

Totally unacceptable & downright shocking. Good statement from the club, I hope they don't get sanctioned / fined over it. I doubt if perpetrators will be identified, but hope some do.

They employ a manager that is due in court on a domestic violence charge, not sure they have the moral high ground.
Although obviously 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Surely the stewards in that area heard it and could/should have done something? At least identified the individuals?

It was moronic chanting aimed at Rovers’ female physio. Utterly embarrassing.

Sadly, it was more than just a few individuals.

I was sat at the other side of the Ponte end, and it came over, fairly loud and clear, from the other side.

I sit in the east lower. half way line and you're right it came from back corner. I certainly think we are getting there as it was just that section. The less that join in appears to have a knock on effect. And statements put out by the club. The Abuse of Barton was nonexistent after the ko. Which surprised a few.

They will have to upgrade CCTV in that area and come down hard with the punishments, that's the only way it will stop

Maybe he didn't, cos I know I didn't on ESL back row and the lass was treating their player more or less in line with me

Really? It was LOUD from much further down the east stand for me and someone I know in the family stand says they heard it too

Good, after the court's decision, best way to get revenge was to do what we did - dominate them on the field of play from start to finish.
