    Been mentioning him since last season when he was scoring for fun. Maybe it was a one off, or maybe he could come in and be a new SSW, scoring loads for us as well

    Didn't they want 4-500k? I really don't want him here at all. Really poor record apart from last season. I know we need a striker, but I'd much rather bring Marsh & Jalo through than sign him at their expense - especially if they want more than 200k. But if Duff likes him and thinks he could get a tune, I'd obviously support them both. Just my opinion, definitely not the type of player we need to be looking at.

    We need a striker, wouldn't be my first choice but last season he proved he can be great at this level. Will he get 26 again this season? Maybe not but would improve our forward line that's for sure

    Difference is SSW was a lot younger, with plenty of resale value. Stockton will be 29 end of season, with a really poor record to boot

    I would be underwhelmed, he had a great season last year but can be slow and lazy...and I,m a Morecambe season ticket holder as well..bring on October 22nd for my away day at home..

    Kieffer Moore signed for us on the back of a brilliant goal scoring stint at Rotherham. His record wasn't that bad really and he was bang in form.

    Your point is valid with others though for sure. Don't think tree frog is denying he had a good season, think the worry is more around the age with Stockton much like with May and buying in hype after a top top season, going to inflate the price a lot. Positive with Stockton is he only has a year left so that reduces the price a bit.

    Morris' was poor, not shocking. And he wasn't always played as a striker, he played the last 6 seasons before joining us either in League one, Championship or Scottish Prem, not league 2/non league like Stockton. Moore went on loan to Torquay, scored 4 in 5. Made 11 sub apps for Ipswich didn't score, went on loan to Rotherham and scored 13 in 22. Prior to Torquay, he was about 24. We also got more money for them than we forked out - because they had resale value. Stockton won't. I've seen him play countless times and in my opinion isn't good enough, no where near 4-500k good enough.

    As I said, if the prices are correct and rumoured to be around half a mill, I'd steer clear. Of course, since it is only my opinion, I could be very wrong, he could sign for Fleetwood and score 35 goals... But that's probably why I'm not a professional football scout. :)

    If I was in our recruitment team I’d seriously be looking at Harry Mckirdy at Swindon and Tshimanga at Chesterfield.

    I wanted us to take a punt on Tshimanga before he joined Chesterfield - I'm surprised nobody has gone in for McKirdy yet. He would be a cracking signing, although out of our price range I'd assume? Unless ofcourse we sell some first... Perhaps a straight swap for Obbi? :D

    The chesterfield lad looks class. I can't believe no one has taken Tyreece Simpson yet from Ipswich. He's been transfer listed after he asked to leave and looks a class prospect. Very similar to Dike IMO in terms of build and play style

    He was linked to Huddersfield a couple of months ago too. I'd definitely take a punt. All I can suggest is they want silly money if they've transfer listed him and he's still not got a move? Especially at his age. Did well at Swindon too by all accounts

    Rumours they want 500/600k ish which is more than we can spend at the moment I think but seems a good price given his age and potential etc.

    This is partially the reason I'd be opposed to spending such money on May & Stockton, I'd rather us put that bit of money we'd spend on them to someone like Simpson.

    Rotherham denied ever speaking to him. Expect him to sign for Fleetwood.

    This is another where stats are influencing opinion. One standout season amongst a lot of dross on paper. I take more from the opinion of a Barnsley supporting Morecambe season ticket holder than anything else to be honest, as I’ve seen him once (twice at a push) and never been impressed.
