Just a thought, we were still in the game until our goalie fancied himself as an outfield player.
WTF Was he doing outside his area.
He as to answer for that second goal.

I guess the reality is that we wouldn’t be able to afford either Scowen’s or Mawson’s wages. And against a team like Wycombe you need that extra bit of quality (think Adam Hammill). Sadly, we have absolutely nothing of his ilk, and probably won’t have for the foreseeable future.

Aitchison has no championship striker qualities, I'm afraid. He doesn't hold it up very well, he has no significant pace. He can't dribble, is no threat in the air. He is not lethal when shooting and takes too long.

Cole was much better than him today, which is not saying much at all.

We are a club bereft of a decent forward.

As for the midfield, they were practically man marked and couldn't handle the physical presence.

They (Wycombe) were better organised too. We were well and easily outplayed and outfought. By a team that's just lost 3 in a row, apparently.

Bristol Rovers were so poor they would have made Athersley Rec look like world beaters.

Duff needs to confront that attitude today imo .
I know a lot of coaches protect their team but to come into the field woth the attitude of the second half in front of paying fans needs addressing .
We put up with it last season out of necessity but these prima Donnas that think they can come out at half time with that attitude needs culling .
If it were up to me I’d leave everyone of them at Oakwell in midweek in their pyjamas and play the younguns .
That attitude cannot prevail , Peterborough are in similar position to us but are fighting and that’s the difference , our players are hiding behind last season and accepting a defeat from anyone showing a spirit .
I’m incensed not because of the defeat although that’s still hard to take but because of the attitude and acceptance of it from the players on the pitch .

Not the first time and unfortunately it won't be the last' he's a good keeper but so frustrating at times.

I don’t think he was outside the area TBH. Which makes it a brilliant chip. Tonight’s highlights will be interesting.

Yes, we played well Tuesday…. But this is more than inconsistency. I’m happy for you that you are so buoyant after such a shoddy performance. But some of those players need to have a word with themselves today. I can’t share your optimism, and feel at the moment that if it ends up being a relegation battle…. Our soldiers won’t turn up again. God knows what we’ll sell to survive then….

Duff had a right pop at Collins, 3 times. Shook his head at 'that' goal.
I know Walton will probs be keeper in the Cup this week, but my gut feeling is that he will be keeper next weekend too.

Started off ok today. We were battling and in the game. After their first goal we lost our heads big time.

Wycombe were pretty good. Their midfield ran and scrapped so hard - they were first to every loose ball and closed down Thomas and Benson really quickly every time they got the ball. Classic Scowen really. Playoffs for Wycombe I'd say.

Our heads went down. No idea what happened to Jordan Williams at the end of the first half - calamitous 5 minutes. He'd been decent early on.

We need 2 strikers. Aitchison doesn't look likely to score but we missed his energy when he went off. Cole is... ok. Norwood has something about him but needs to get up to speed.

Styles was poor second half today. Looks unlikely to me that he's getting his move at this point so he'll need to regroup and show the quality we know he has.

Overall we were short on quality and confidence today. Not a great mix. I think we'll be mid table this season but we do need a couple of additions at least.

Agree with that. Duff’s tactics were dreadful today. Ainsworth out thought him

Pretty much where I'm at with things.

Reality check today after a good performance midweek. We had two good chances before they score & whilst their keeper made good saves he shouldn't have been given the chance to save them.

Don't give us much chance at Ipswich either TBH. Not that fussed about the Leeds game. Hard to see we have much of a pot to **** in with regards to recruits. Loans at best.
