Signed for Wednesday. Won't be long until he's played for every Yorkshire club at this rate

He will be great this season in L1 as he always is and then if/when they go up he will be rubbish again and will sign for Rotherham or another Yorkshire club that drops to L1.

Never given a chance here, considering some players who we've persisted with who are well below his level.

Yeah it's a shame really, would have been interesting to see what he could have done in a Val team full of confidence

Excellent signing, very talented player, questionable attitude….I think I’ll give Hillsborough a miss on the 3rd..

Does anyone know if we have a sell on fee for Wilks?

He was a bit of a quick sale so not sure if we would have.

The thing with sell on clauses is that you only get back an agreed portion of any profit that the selling club gets and I very much doubt that Hull have made anything on the sale of Wilks

Yeah that's crossed my mind. Wouldn't he be rated more highly now than when we sold him? Hull signed him after he'd flopped with us, and since he had a great League One season.

No idea what either of the fees were though so who knows

Did he flop with us,genuinely can't remember. I remember him starting the season well in a front 3 of him,Thomas and Woodrow, the defence was brand new and had no championship experience, so we were losing most games. Then Daniel left,Gerhard comes in and we change style and tactics and he is loaned/sold to Hull,to a coach who knows how to use him. It's how I remember it but probably missed some bits,I don't think him and Woodrow gelled, judging by their body language.

Not a surprise the lad has found himself back in the third division, has talent but has a piss poor attitude both on and off the pitch.

Will most likely score for the pigs next weekend when we play them, knowing our luck.

Would have been nice if he'd put the effort in when on the pitch.

A bit like Keefer Moore, why dun't Wilkes stay around at clubs for more than one and a half to two years.

You'd have to think it was something to do with his attitude surely? Maybe gets very complacent? Moore goes for the money, I reckon his signing on fees have probably doubled virtually every move he's got

Not always case, it’s just most we here of are about the younger players.
    Couple of better known ones:
Cesc Fabregas went from Arsenal- Barcelona - Chelsea. Chelsea paid £5m less than Barcelona but Arsenal got just over £5m from deal.
Angel Di Maria went Real - Man U - PSG. PSG paid £13m less but Real still got £5m from sell on.

Yes, sometimes its based on profit made , sometimes its just a % of whatever the fee was in total
