I responded to @redrum buddy. Regards Anthony Joshua's meltdown post-fight.

Tyson Fury's often controversial behaviour outside of the ring is well-documented, been mentioned on here many, many times and I've always said exactly the same - I rate Fury as a boxer. I don't look to him for anything other than that. He doesn't speak for me and I certainly wouldn't condone his 'views' just because I rate him as a boxer.

But my reply was to another poster, about AJ and his episode on Saturday night.

He's built this persona of staying humble, yet that little tantrum at the end in Saudi was anything but. Like I say, the veil slipped. Which is a passing comment, Ben. I'm making no grandiose statement about it and had completely forgotten about it until I logged on for the first time a few minutes ago.

What Anthony AND Tyson have done for British boxing doesn't excuse any of their misdemeanours but they've been a huge boon for the sport, particularly Tyson for changing the heavyweight landscape when toppling Wlad in 2015 and especially Joshua, for bringing a new, casual audience to boxing.

I saw this clip and said the exact same thing! It reminded me of the guy at ringside in the first Usyk fight, who shouted 'brilliant AJ, brilliant boxing' repeatedly through the 12 rounds, in a fight in which he was outboxed. These guys do him no favours whatsoever, as you say they are just yes men; nodding dogs.

A lot to unpick in that clip. Firstly as we have already had mentioned it's amusing to see Sky putting these clips out now he's no longer signed to them.
The disrespect he showed was off the scale. Usyk is one hell of a classy guy to have just stayed calm throughout. Joshua's team should have stopped him well before he got a hold of that mic.

    Aussie Joe, born in Hungary.

By the way I actually thought that was possibly AJ’s best boxing performance.

I still think Fury would take Usyk but I look forward to seeing who comes out on top when they get in the ring.

Should heavyweight boxers fight more often? Win lose or draw. It takes them that long to get in shape that they seem to only have two fights a year. They're at their peak obviously before, during and straight after recovery from their last fight but wait an age to have their next fight and start their new training camp.

Only replied to you mate for your opinion on it. Wasn't suggesting you were taking jabs at AJ, but the 'veil slipped'/'media trained' is a common and generalised comment made by a few people out in the big world. Was interested in your take on it vs. Fury's previous misgivings, which is why it made sense to reply.

'Genuine question on Fury, because this is a regular jab thrown at AJ by Fury fans when it feels like a fairly hypocritical position to preach from.'

I've just had an idea for my sequel:

    AJ 2.

Usyk fights Fury and loses the belt. The nation acclaims it's undisputed world champion. After a while there is a clamour for a more clean cut World Champion. Media and fans want AJ to step in a beat Fury to become undisputed World Champion.

AJ isn't the mandatory challenger and has to keep fighting on the undercards. Eventually he gets his shot but it's dependant on the rematch between Fury and Usyk. At the 11th hour Fury cancels the rematch and relinquishes the belts to fight who he wants or retires due to the media pile on.

Usyk regains the belts and beats AJ in a third fight.

AJ does the after dinner circuit and the fans continue to speculate who would have won a fight between AJ and Fury. Like they did with George Foreman and Mike Tyson in 1990.

It’s not about sides mate. You know I backed AJ financially at the weekend. I wanted him to win.

But he did act like a clown post-fight. It wasn’t him being ‘humble’ which is what he regularly preaches. Hence my comment and millions of others around the world. The veil slipped.

As for Fury, he’s not perfect either. And nor was Iron Mike. Or Muhammad Ali. And so on.

I know it isn't sides - not suggesting it is.. But you made a comment similar to that of others around the world, so it made total sense to get your take on the follow up question. Nothing more.

You'll struggle to find anyone in boxing that doesn't have some form of chequered past. Just different levels of imperfection.

I agree dillian is a limited boxer and will most likely never win a world title. i like dillian though like you say no ******** he just is who he is insread of aj who has been media trained into this "nice guy" or fury who just talks absolute rubbish 80% of the time hes had more retirements than ive had hot dinners and him talking about fighting aj for free and offering to train him in the build up to the usyk fight was all ******** to keep him still relevent and the spotlight still on him.

One judge had Joshua 5-1 up after 6 rounds on the official scorecards
and he was ahead on the official scorecards and would have won the fight up to the 9th round.
if Usyk hadn't won the last round the fight would have officially been a draw

went out to the pub to watch it so maybe had a few but seems mind boggling and should be some sort of inquiry.
AJ was just missing all the time and 99 % of Usyks punches were little more than arm punches towards AJ with little power to them.
literally nothing happened in the first half of the fight and to be honest most of the second half as well

apart from a few seconds in the 9th round the atmosphere was totally dead and most people were bored stiff watching it looking round the pub.
As a entertainment spectacle in a venue pub etc it was a truly shocking fight to watch

Oleksandr Usyk on Anthony Joshua's post-fight anger: "I feel nothing but respect to AJ. I saw him a bit emotional and like bullying some of my teammates. That would be a bare-knuckle fight that I don't recommend him to do because most of them are horrible street fighters."

Not at all. Usyk is a heavyweight now and always will be. Canelo can and probably will go down in weight again for the right fight. It isn’t the same thing in my opinion.
