I love the central actual crest bit of ours, but strongly dislike the surrounding shield and text. It's incongruously modern, basic looking and embarrassingly doesn't even have the dots in "FC". It looks like it was bodged together on WordArt.

I agree. I love the middle bit but there's something off about the red border and the font is dire. Overall, though, I think the centre is nice enough to be happy with it.

But dots aren't needed. We're Barnsley Football Club not Barnsley Football. Club.

The dots aren't full stops, they simply signify that a word has been shortened. Personally, I don't care either way apart from in the East Stand when we have a dot after F but not after C in the white seats. That really bothers me as it's inconsistent and wrong.

At least Wednesday is rightfully down near the bottom. Though I like Burton's badge. Sorta late 80s German almost.

I still think JK Rowling got her inspiration for the names of Harry Potter's spells from "Spectemur Agendo".

Never realised just how bad Burton's badge is :D A beer gut, a 'B' and an 'A'. Inspired

Not all shortened versions have dots after the letters. During my Air Force days I hated it when people used to put R.A.F. and the tv news people were the worst culprits although you see it on some directional signs as well. It’s RAF - plain and simple.

I’m sure the OP didn’t mean to make it sound so bad?

4th out of 92 in a nonsense one person opinion poll is something to be celebrated surely? :)

No, I know. I was just pointing out that when they do have it that’s what it means and not a full stop. The East Stand seats are really annoying. If you don’t like R.A.F. just imagine how annoying R.A.F would be!

Typed this a few hours ago but obviously didn’t hit send!

I read this initially as being a bad thing. Wasn’t expecting it to be a countdown and thought by being ‘forgotten’ we were ranked lowly. Ended up being the complete opposite. I like our badge, even though it could be modernised slightly.

I didn't. I'm not a fan of our crest, I think it's too busy. But I didn't want to say it was 4th because I didn't want to give it away when people can look at the list themselves.

Yeh, never liked our crest, too much going on. Looks to much like a council crest. We're a football club. I always liked the white rose.

Well, I think it's a fantastic crest and should be number 1.

I love our crest. It's the crest of the town, showing our industrial history. The club represents the town. To me, the fact that the council also uses the town's crest is irrelevant.
