    Disingenuous to say the least.

    100th EFL start, yes.

His experience in full time professional football at Forest green and Tranmere in whatever the conference was called at that time, national league now - they figure in the thinking. Not the highest level no - but still relevant to the point. He’s been in and around football at full time professional standard for well over a decade and has made over 500 appearances in that time.

His weight, and the weight of an Eddie Stobart lorry too. Pains me to say it, but it's very satisfying to watch.

I've a few games under my belt for Valhalla FC in the Bristol Suburban League in tier 17 of English football. I'm available for weddings, bar-mitzvahs and after-dinner speeches. Where do we draw the line Troff lad?

I think I remember that one. Seem to remember he basically took it like a goal kick and absolutely hammered it into the top corner.

All well and good taking pens in training when no real pressure is on the taker in-front of 30k is a bit different and I would rather the taker have been in that position before rather than a complete novice and someone totally underserving of playing never mind being first choice penalty taker.

Not disingenuous in the slightest. You wrote, and I quote, "He’s also played a lot of league games". Specifically "league games". The national league has never been considered league football. It has always been known as non-league.

Wow. So someone who’s never taken a penalty in a competitive game in his life gets the job? I wonder how many penalties the other 9 outfield players had actually taken between them? Or was he just the tallest dwarf in the circus?

    Don't know.

Crazy decision. 1 goal in 25 matches and at fault for the first and third goals with how he stood around making F all effort to get the ball and was slower than my late grandma.

Bearing in mind that Lampard took penalties for Chelsea, and Gerrard for Liverpool, you are questioning the "potency and value" of some prolific strikers.
