A couple of seasons? So that would put us in the conference most likely. How can you possibly give a manager 2 seasons to find a good performance?
All 3 relegated clubs face the same loss, its down to the owners if they want to right that shortfall off with some of their own money
LOL. Jesus wept this board at times. This comment regarding a pop and crisp cup competition, where our second string/youth products play a fairly strong Lincoln side from the same division, with 10 men for about 80 minutes. Amazing comment. Made me genuinely laugh out loud. On a positive, thought Jalo looked really good when he came on, very direct, always wanting to drive forward. Hard night for the kids but I'd certainly say they put a better performance in than that of their peers who have far more experience and game time.
Well being realistic unless they are really lucky. I believe you can not shape a squad a club in less than 2 years. Ask pep, klopp ferguson etc
0-2 down, and ok, we've just got 10 men, but we go 4-4-1. And then of course, Tedic has no service at all, very much isolated.
I've seen us fall apart worse than we did tonight. On quite a few occasions. But I can't remember us trying to limit the score to a 2-0 defeat in a cup competition against a third division side before. And yeah, there's an argument that it's a meaningless competition, but it didn't feel meaningless when we all went to Wembley. It didn't feel meaningless when Adam Hammill, in clear agony with cramp for the last 30 minutes of the game, having to lie down every time the ball went out of play, scored in the 83rd minute against York which set us up for both trips to Wembley. And people paid their money to go tonight, or to watch it on iPlayer. The team were utter rubbish tonight, but that was Duff's team, his tactics and it wasn't acceptable.
Felt sorry for Tedic' hope he gets another chance' probably the most frustrating game i've ever watched' the sending off killed it as a spectacle..
He wasn’t even there tonight! Duff is a great coach, he’s being badly let down by our joke of a CEO. The squad is wafer thin and tonight just hammered home that fact. Most of those on the field tonight in the second half have no experience of mens football at all. It’s done them no good whatsoever….
He was in the stands, talking to the bench via, I dunno, whatever device you do that with these days.
Stand corrected then, not sure why he’d be in the stand? Either way I don’t blame him at all. He’s inherited a shockingly weak squad and quite simply had to rest half a dozen first choice players tonight. What we have in reserve is clearly no where near good enough.
