    From sky sports

Barnsley are considering multiple offers for Hungary international Callum Styles from several Championship clubs and teams from abroad.#BarnsleyFC

That must be new bids if Sky are reporting it. We really need him to go, we have plenty of midfielders and when Cadden is fit he’s more than good enough to be number 1 choice at LWB.

Bye bye. He wanted out and shot his load early in that regard. Showed no class doing that interview. Good riddance.

Always been on cards, board HAVE to balance the books, not prepared to bridge the gap by investment, won't be surprised if 2 or 3 leave, fire sale on the cheap.

Relegation to League 1 now coming home to roost. Held onto 2 w.nk managers far too long, I've zero sympathy.

It's got Burnley or Blackburn written all over it.

Good let's have a bidding war we need the money and hopefully Cadden can get fit as I don't see Styles going as weakening the midfield.

Let's hope it's Burnley so we can take Adam Phillips as part of the deal

To be honest I’d rather him go for financial reasons than the playing side, we need Helik to go too for the same reason, get them two out and we should be breaking even for this season. We have cover for both postions, might not have the quality but we should have enough for this level

Styles is an international who will be leaving to a club higher up the leagues than us, how does that not weaken a division 1 squad ?

Can’t agree Stephen, he’s a player I’ve enjoyed watching and he’s kept going never downed tools. Class act, hope he stays but if he goes good luck to the lad.

How do you rate Styles appearances in midfield for us I can't think of one game that he's stood out at wing back I think it's happened a few times.

With his performances post Val I thought he had left the season before last.

If any of the clubs had the money to get involved in a bidding war and wanted him/them and they were a important part of there planning they they would have bought them on the first day not the last day.
the idea behind leaving it to the very end is i presume to get players as cheap as possible

if these bids for Helik and Styles do exist and its not just the club or and his agent just making it up lying, leaking bids that don't exist to attract intrest ,entice bids, try to get a bigger bid and get there names out there in the spotlight
its incredibly unlikely to be for better words a big unexpected amount of money and they are hoping to get them for the minimum amount possible

I don't like it when players publicly state they're leaving before bids have been received or its public knowledge they're for sale.

The reverse logic is that the buying club get more desperate nearer the end of the window example beening when Grigg went to Sunderland maybe we are playing hard ball for once and not taking the first bid.

I prefer Styles at wing back, under Val I thought that he was as good as anyone in the league that season , regarding him in midfield , I think if he was playing behind two useful forwards in the hole with plenty of movement in front of him he could be very useful , with Hungry he has looked very comfortable in midfield , always willing to give & receive the ball & does not look out of place even at that level , I also believe like on saturday that there is always a goal in him .
