I will stand corrected if he goes for 2million or more. Would I sell.hum for less, no way. In this league him and Collins in goal goves us a chance. The board does not see it that way. Just balance the 6 million and sit the season out in League 1. That's the blatant message they've sent out.
Sorry , I misunderstood your first comment , I thought you said we had virtually given him away ,minds you I am stupid in your eyes because I turn up to watch division 1 football .
Why move them on ? Why not invest some if their money ? If they stopped buying useless players they could save those wages and keep players like helik . Chaplins words the other day showed the direction the club are going
I understand and agree (to an extent with the first part). I don't agree with the second bit. I've not seen anything that says we're settling for league 1 football. The fact we've rejected several bids for Styles and Helik says we've a figure in mind, and it's not been met yet. But I get why you have that opinion.
He's worth what someone willing to pay would be good if there was more clubs interested maybe there has and Huddersfield is the best offer we will never know. The alternative is keep him but the players have all the power these days and we would have a very unhappy player on our hands as I imagine he's in the running to go to the world cup with Poland.
Inevitable that he'd be gone this window. Out of contract next summer and he'll be pushing for a move to try and get in the World Cup squad. If the fee is near £2million, then it's acceptable.
If they don’t move on we are facing the need for money form the owners or administration before the season is over. In this case I would not blame either Styles or Helik, without them moving on the club is knackered.
100%, if we're going to achieve anything this season in terms of rebuilding/retooling both Styles and Helik have to go before end of day tomorrow.
The figure is an assumption. How much do you think we're getting for him? I know a lot about Huddersfield Town through close family and mates (I live in Holmfirth now). I can assure you Dean Hoyle will not be paying much in thr way of transfer fees. Huddersfield looking to cut costs. In fact a number of their fans are wanting Hoyle out.
Oh pack it in. He was always going to be sold, we’ve just been relegated, he’s in his last year and his international coach has said he doesn’t want league 1 players. My biggest issue with this is that it’s taken so long
If the purpose of selling Helik and Styles is to close the deficit gap then it makes no sense to sell them cheap. But that seems to be what we do. Could argue we might as well sell another 5-6 players if the deficit is the priority
Considering we've reportedly turned down more than that for him already, I can't see us getting less than £1.5m for him. If Huddersfield aren't likely to be paying that, then I reckon the rumour isn't true.
