Bring him back into the side, he’s better than what we have already. Don’t agree with Duff going so open with what’s been said, sort out your **** with him as we’re paying a fortune and he should rip up this league. be interesting to here ALI’s side of things….
Not sure what it's going to take, but he needs sorting out one way or another. As we are desperately short on striker options, we should somehow (no idea how) get this lad motivated
Technically he's better than what we've got but he's barely scored 25 goals in his entire 8-year career, never mind in a season. We'll still get nil if he's playing or not.
I`m not against giving him a go if MD feels he can but the manager has got have belief in the fact that he will improve us. MD doesn`t strike me as a man who would cut his nose off to spite his face.
Given that Duff will want wins, I'm sure he's weighed many factors on this topic and come to the conclusion that Iseka doesn't feature because his inclusion won't lead to better outcomes. It would appear that Iseka has been told what he needs to do to re-enter into Duff's plans, unless that is unreasonable, it's over to Iseka.
Genuinely don't know what people see in Iseka? Had a couple of decent cameos last season, but on the whole looked very lazy. Sounds like he's the same in training. I'm sure he'll be out of the door come this time next week.
A friend's daughter, who is heavily involved in women's football, did plenty of research for her Sports Studies master's degree into the difficulties players can face when coming from abroad into a very different culture, especially if they are not familiar with the language of the country to which they have moved. If players are unhappy, they will not fulfil their potential. I suspect that this could possibly be the major issue with Leya Iseka.
What should Duff have said when asked the question by the Press? He hasn't said anything wrong in my opinion and he did not single the lad out for criticism.
But if he's telling the truth, why is it a bad thing? If Ali can't get a move in the next week, Duff publicly calling him out might be the rocket he needs to get going.
I’m with Duff on this one. This is the third manager who hasn’t played him. Big move coming in from abroad and I totally get that it can take a while for players to adjust but this is part of football and managers and coaching teams will totally understand this. Doesn’t stop him from putting the effort in for training and getting the monk on when not selected. All three managers have all said the same thing about him regards to not putting in the effort in training. It doesn’t sound like an excuse to me for other things that could be going off. Iseka clearly has an issue with things and he has been totally unprofessional if that comment is aimed at the club. No doubt he’s on decent money and holding us to his contract. He’s a right to do that as we were happy to pay it but we are paying him and he’s not paying us back in terms of effort and performance.
Would they know what they were looking for if they did? I doubt it, because its unlikely the coach is going to tell them what he's asked him to do
These are the same people who stated Helik was out with a niggling thigh injury. Is his recovery for Saturday simply good timing?
It's football, it's not that complicated. Either you train and work hard or you don't. It's fairly obvious I imagine, whether someone is putting the effort in or not. I can't imagine Duff giving Iseka specific instructions - right Leya, we're doing headers and volleys - and Iseka basically saying, 'nah coach, I ain't doing that.'
Duff's been told to not pick Helik or Iseka. It really has to be that simple. Either way someone at the club is lying or being told to lie. I like Duff but the owners are making him look bad here like they did with Schopp last season.
We're back to smoke and mirrors aren't we? The exact thing i thought the new iteration of the board would learn from and avoid.
