    I didn't know him but read his posts and he always seemed a genuine and knowledgeable guy.

    Clearly popular on here given the reaction to the news. He'll be missed.

    Horrendous news. I can't even begin to imagine how you are feeling right now and I know my words will bring you little comfort but you and him have been on this site as long as I can remember and I've been in awe of his ability to make people laugh for just as long and as equally in awe at his warm and kind nature. Said it how he saw it. He's called me a lovely person plenty of times over the years but he's just one of those blokes that he could call me that and it wouldn't lower my respect for him one little bit. I'd just take it with a 'hes probably right to be fair' and I know that regardless of whether he did think I was one or not, and he probably did, if I was in serious trouble and asked for his help, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that he would have dropped everything to help me. In fact I have no doubt at all that if I posted on here that I was struggling with something he would have been one of the first to respond without having to be asked.

    He was, and is, one of the most respected bbs members and for a very good reason too. Epitomised everything good about this site and about the people of Barnsley in general.

    Rest in peace Gaz, the world has lost a good un.

    And DJ fatty boy if there's anything you or anyone else needs or needs doing don't hesitate to ask.

    Rest in peace. Never met the feller that I’m aware of, but he always came across well on here, and his charity work speaks for itself. He will be missed. Condolences to you and yours.

    Sorry for your loss. It's hard to add anything more, other than I didn't know him but you can always tell the genuine good guys. The way he sorted out the Eyup and Darn deliveries for the people who missed out a few weeks ago, just shows how thoughtful and considerate of others he was. RIP Gary.
