    I'd have stuck with Brighton!

Until you saw the pay cheque ... made for life & if sacked will still walk into another well paid job. Just the way of the world these days. Tuchel also will pocket a load & still get another great gig. He didn't really fail, just said stuff that upset the owners & given the money spent I can see their point too in a way. I really dislike Chelsea, so not that bothered in another sense.

Rudiger by far the best of the ones they lost. Christensen did make 34 apps so played a fair bit and wasn't a bad player. They also lost both for free so had to prioritise spending basically all their budget on defenders rather than spread it around the team.

The other issue is although on paper the new ones are better than those they lost, it does take time to gel together. We saw a bit of this ourselves when after L1 promotion our 2 CBs were sold. Pinnock was a major loss like Rudiger is to Chelsea but Lindsay was replaced with someone (Andersen) who IMO is better now but just took a while to adjust to the new league and team etc.

Glad Potter has got the job but unless they change the way they operate, he won't see out the 4/5 year deal they have given him as they are very trigger happy with managers.
