I think for me I will get the BBS player of the season think sorted and the meet up and then hopefully get someone to take over and leave the board/ no longer contribute just watch as I’m not enjoying it so much anymore
Peaks and troughs mate. Hang in there. It’s very hard to resist getting dragged into stuff on here - or any shared interest Internet forum for that matter. In a pub you’d just walk off. Or you wouldn’t hear the conversation happening in the first place. It’s also very hard to just let go when you’ve ended up getting involved. So things just become an endless dialogue of to and fro. Doesn’t help the soul. Hopefully you’ll decide to stick around, or come back if you decide to dip out for a bit
Every time I read the title of this thread I automatically see ironing members, not sure if this is because I like ironing or or because I automatically think like @Stephen Dawson
You have a difference of opinion with someone. That's ok, it's allowed. You've tried putting forward your opinion, they've come back and neither is going to budge. That's ok, that's allowed. Accept it and move on.
Narrator says the documentary was from 2022. but hey ho https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0013yfj/disclosure-series-4-the-truth-about-brewdog
Moving on is actually my plan! If I could ignore them i’d say around as I’ve been on the board off and on since Radders chatrooms but as I can’t it feels better to take me away from something I see as toxic
Two men broke into a drugstore and stole all the Viagra. The police put out an alert to be on the lookout for the two hardened criminals.
Stand up for what you believe in mate. I'm an avid reader of Private Eye and they persevere when all around are decrying them
Brilliant. Marginally my favourite Black Adder series. The humour got superbly dark at times, but always taking the piss out of the upper classes, not the poor conscripts. Brilliant writing & casting. I'm a massive fan of Stephen Fry. The bloke is a genius. He was perfect for General Melchett in this.
He did & I get your point, but most of the humour was about the upper classes. He was just the ongoing, quite loveable character that was pointing out how crap it was for the conscripts. No sugar, but thankfully I have dandruff for example.
I'd like to second the motion that @Loko the Tyke is a pr1ck. Imagine having a positive opinion of their workplace and expressing it on the website you volunteer on to give people hours of joy in between your time representing supporters on the Trust.
nah man. I’m all good. I don’t need what I see as toxic elements in my life especially those who see bullying and misogyny as irrelevant . It’s not a look at me flounce. I will happily see the Cunning Stunt stuff through and if no one wants to do the Player of the Season stuff I will do it but just won’t involve myself in any other way.
