Seriously what the fk does it matter? It’s not like he’s going to turn up like some feudal baron. It’s hereditary , means nowt in real terms, life goes on
That was true about 25 years ago but not any longer. One of the main things done by the Welsh Senedd established in 1999 is pass legislation to promote the Welsh language - my sister-in-law living in Mid-Wales works for the local Health and Police Authorities teaching Welsh to any non-Welsh speaking staff who have to have a basic knowledge of the language. All schools teach Welsh and there are many classes held for people wanting to learn the language. Tidy!
I don’t understand. They’ve just had a king imposed on them with no debate, discussion or referendum, we all have. How is that different to the next in line automatically becoming Prince of Wales?
fwiw I also believe a king shouldn't be imposed either. I'm not a royalist, so I don't support the idea of monarchy full stop. but that wasn't the specific point I was raising. there are many other things I disagree with, that I also didn't mention.
"For the year ending 31 March 2021, the Annual Population Survey reported that 29.1% of people aged three or over were able to speak Welsh. This figure equates to 883,300 people." Not my figures - the governments. No axe to grind here.
