    Not seen it on here before:
    Barry Fry is saying we tried to sign him from Posh and Toney wanted to come but he talked him into staying.

    “The player, his dad & agent begged me to let him sign for Barnsley when they came in for him.
    I told him “sack your agent cos you’re miles better than Barnsley”.

    I think fry and posh are still bitter from that great escape day when us and Huddersfield played for the draw and they lost to palace and went down...

    Maybe, I meant more the fact we had an offer put in and must have been a reasonable offer if the player was wanting to come.
