On the bin with rap, garage and house. It’s massive and whilst there are some decent times it’s a genre I can’t fathom
Timi Yuro...it'll never be over for me. Dobi Grey..Out on the floor Frank Wilson..Indeed I do... Tony Gala...In love.. to name a few
Indie, Rock, Punk odd bit of folk ( Newton Faulkner some of Frank Turner’s stuff that is that way, rest of his is good inc Rattlesnakes). Next gig Biffy Clyro in Leeds this is one I thought I’d never get to.
That is such a heartbreaking tune, About his brother. It sounds so upbeat when Stevie sings it, but a real tear jerker for me.
You know one of the DJs from the Boys Club contacted me about 10 years ago from Europe. The other DJ died. Punk / new wave // northern soul & Peter Gabriel's "Games Without Frontiers' played every night. Bloody brilliant.
This is a northern soul thread really, but these are decent. I have the double LP of the second album & it's great.
First record I bought. Bit of sad trivia. Gloria Jones was marc Bolan's girlfriend. She was driving the mini when it hit a tree, killing him and injuring her. She was over the limit for drink and skipped bail to go back to the USA, although in fairness I seem to recall from the press at the time she got a bit of a hard time from Bolan fans.
