Not having a pop but….Only takes a few seconds to separate em. Just 1 of my bug bears if that’s the right spelling.
Pre means - in advance of. Prior is similar, in context. Before means before. Prior to, in the sense of time.. Pre-booking is perfectly acceptable. Except when it's sold out. Which can be irritating. Soz, I'm talking borrocks.. More beer, please.
Yes, I noticed that too. Initially the "staycation" tag meant taking time off work, but using your home as a base and essentially daytripping for a week or two. The BBC even did a feature on it, showing how one family had spent their time and the places they visited - always returning home each day. Then the word got jumped on and used by people to describe a domestic holiday, as opposed to a foreign holiday. The cynic in me thinks that the travel industry had a hand in this, deliberately trying to make holidays in the UK sound as if they were a poor man's option, or worse, a non-holiday. It's cobblers.
Orate chill out! The subject field was what slightly irritates you. If subject was Brexit, NHS, energy bills etc that’s a different matter. Any need for you to post that? I don’t post much on here. Probably not again after that sarcastic remark
When people reverse in it often takes them a few goes when you reverse out it's one move just a matter of time other people waiting for you simple as that
I'd like to think that it takes most of us an in, out then in again at most to reverse into a parking space rather than a few goes. Plus, as has been said, it's way safer to reverse in than reverse out.
tad irritating! Carefully peeled off an unfranked stamp on a recently received letter and with the help of Prit-stick used it again to send someone a birthday card, Intended recipient of birthday card got a card from Post Office telling her she had to collect card from local sorting office - she duly turned up had to pay £2.50 and stamp was stamped with 'COUNTERFEIT' on it. --- how did they know the stamp was being used for the second time?
Then stand n scratch your head on how your going to get your shopping trolley to the boot of your car
From the get go. Pronouncing homage like Farage, instead of like village. Although I once worked with a bloke that pronounced village like Farage. Overuse of 'beloved'. Tangles when I'm fishing.
Err.. the same as you do getting the shopping from the boot of your car to your house.. pick up the bags and walk a few feet. Just park the trolley next to or in front of the car.
"Cup cakes" They're buns. Butterfly buns, chocolate buns, lemon buns. Buns, buns, buns, buns, buns! Just seen a programme where some kids were making buns and the adult cook kept calling the bun cases "cake cases". Grrrrrr.
BT Sport adverts. A few years ago they advertised the FA Cup with some weird cartoon based on Donald Trump. Then it was stop motion animals. The latest abomination for the North London Derby is the worst of the lot, trying to embrace the youfs. Brap indeed.
