Sounds intriguing. Your playing with PP sounded amazing. Was a massive fan of the Only Ones back in the day. The bloke is truly a legend.

That guitar looks great. I only ever had one Strat & that was a Vox one, which was OK, but wasn't great. I loved my Rickenbackers. They suited my more limited style. I had a Vox AC 30 63' Top Boost at the time & together they sounded great. I had to sell them all when my record shop went under & was forced to sell my flat too.

The Heritage Gold Top I have now is pretty good. Was made in '88 in the ex Gibson Kalamazoo factory. It's thiner than a Gibson, so a bit lighter, but built to perfection. I should play it more, but DJing has been my thing for the last 20 years. Nice to pick it up every now & then though.

That's not me on guitar, mate. It's pete's son, Jamie. But's that's my guitar, they had borrowed for recording & tours. Peter used it on the Human World record, which I'm chuffed to bits about. I've posted something else about it on this thread. I currently have an AC15 in the house, it used to belong to Richard Hawley. It's great but i prefer my fender Hot Rod, that so suits me, it just purrs. I never got on with Marshalls, too slow & crunchy.. I've borrowed a Ricky for recording, but could never afford the one I wanted, a luxury guitar for me.. Plankton Pete has one, he loves it & suits his music. :)

I have an odd taste in guitar players. So many great players mentioned on this lovely thread..
For me, it's what you grow up with & forms a young player. My Dad loved the Shadows & I absorbed a lot of that. To this day, Plug a Strat into my Vox & that's my go to tone, will **** with it, of course.
& Paul Simon on the great S&G records, in the little Hoyland house.
I loved Blondie, loved the pop guitars, still do. **** knows how i got into KISS? But Ace Frehley made me want to play..& Rick Neilson out of Cheap Trick.
Then started to appreciated Keith & George & turned onto the blues greats.
Found Johnny Thunders, James Williamson, Alex Chilton.
    Sorry, I'm even boring myself..
I like all kinds of crap..:)

Love Sister Rosetta. An absolute legendary player & fantastic life story.

This was shot at Chorlton Railway Station in Manchester.

Saw him this summer and it was a privilege to watch such an amazing technician. Up there with John Squire as the best I’ve seen.

I'm with Mr C. I love telecasters. I love instruments that do simple things really really well. Three tone settings, and the warmest / cleanest sound ...

I still have an American sunburst telecaster that my Dad bought second hand from the infamous Jax for my 18th in 1996. It's had some hammer over the years and could do with rehabilitation
