Does Khaled still have 99.9% autonomy on day to day running of the club?

Big explanation needed on the Hex debacle. Who was responsible for such a poor decision.

The BFC Investment Company details on the Hong Kong Companies Register have been updated in the last couple of days. in there, there is a return filed by Robert Zuk on 29th August and published this Monday (19th September).

The return shows an allotment of 4 million new shares of 25p each having taken place on 23rd June 2022.

The allotment of the new shares is exactly in line with the existing shareholdings, ie 'A' Shares - Lee 31.25%, Conway/Hung/PML 7.5%, Parekh 21.25%, and the total of the Quay Group members 20%. 'B' Shares - Crynes/OHL 20%.

So, the £1m went in or before 23rd June 2022 and the resultant share percentages remained unchanged.

Question for Neerav – In January 2021, Neerav transferred 225,000 ‘A’ shares in BFC Investment Company to Chien Lee. In September 2021, Neerav transferred 150,000 ‘A’ shares in BFC Investment Company to Chien Lee. Can Neerav confirm what these transfers related to? More importantly, can he confirm that no further transfers will be made? (This is of concern to supporters as a further transfer of, say, 150,000 ‘A’ shares to Chien Lee would give Lee and Conway (PML) back a numerical majority of the (controlling) ‘A’ shares.

Question for Neerav – Why wasn’t there adequate due diligence undertaken prior to the Hex disaster which has caused significant financial loss and untold reputational damage? In light of the severe and serious shortcomings in corporate governance, internal controls and risk identification and management obvious from the Hex situation and given that these are principle responsibilities and accountabilities of a Chief Executive in any company (and certainly in Barnsley Football Club, as set out in the job description advertised in Summer 2021) has the Board considered the Chief Executive’s position? Has disciplinary action been considered/initiated/taken? What remedial actions have been taken to prevent any recurrence?

Question for All – What measures are being taken to ensure recurrent financial stability given that non-first-team-player costs (ie all other costs) at BFC currently swallow up such a high proportion of the income level we have as a League 1 club?

General point – Congratulations on appointing Michael Duff.

Rhetorical Question – Does the ‘Player Identification Spreadsheet’ have a column for ‘Pace’? If so, could someone ‘unhide’ it?

Hopefully Shambles Street is open on a Thursday night, it hasn’t been for a few weeks now. Much to the disappointment of a few regulars.

    Questions from me: -

    1. How was the hex deal brokered, what due diligence was done, and has an internal enquiry been carried out, to make sure this never happens again?

    2. Does JAQ believe Tweeting direct criticism at fans was a wise move? Historically this never ends well, even if the underlying points are valid. How does JAQ think this helps reconnect with fans?

    3. Very frustrating to not bring in at least 1 more striker during the window. Was this a conscious recruitment decision, or were we simply unable to attract our targets?

    4. It’s been over 3 months now since the new Board was put in place. Can you give an update on what changes are in plan, to improve the match day experience

    5. We’ve had yet another E20 charge, due this time to unacceptable chanting. Do you think we have a genuine issue with fan behaviour, and if so, how are you planning to tackle it?

Excellent, thanks for confirming @Exile. I last looked about a week ago. I'm pleased they've done it, for me it's a small indicator that they can be judged by their actions. Interesting that Lee has maintained his share. I guess we don't know whether Conway/Hung have done the same as we don't know the breakdown.

Maybe a slightly different question as a result about whether there has been any discussion with Lee and Conway/Hung about purchasing their shares?

They asked us to judge them by their actions. The first action was to close off the Early Bird deal. Was that wise? Asking as a supporter who was willing to have an open mind, but wasn’t given anything to encourage a renewal before the price went up.
It’s my first non renewal since I went to University 30+ years ago. I’ll be in Liverpool watching Hallam in the FA Troohy on Saturday.

People have explained to you times aplenty what has changed.
Surprised you're not there putting your point of view. Your chance to get to the bottom of things.

Do you not think if the facilities are better in the east stand folk would move over. As especially because there are adequate new spaces been vacated approx 2k
. ? .The only possible reasons I can see folk wanting to stay over there are
    1. possibly not enough seats available together
    2. The extra walk round (if using public transport.
    3. They actually prefer the view and are reluctant to change. I was a west stand regular when it was standing.
I would love to see the day when that side is redeveloped. But at the mo we need to get it right on the field. To make it viable for an increase in fans.
I do reckon certain aspects need upgrading but I genuinely don't know what the facilities are like at that side.
Any ground I believe. Charge the same for the same view alongside seating and standing. That's why we paid extortionate prices at bell end rd over the yrs. Carabao cup excepted. But still same as fans opposite.
