Good home draw for Stocksbridge. Be good to see them win two more ties to make the first round proper. Scarborough still going strong too.
Was in the Tow Bar over the summer which is a wonderful pub in Cayton Bay across from Parkdean. They sponsor the club and the week I was there was lucky enough to see the promotion trophy Scarborough Athletic got because as they sponsor the back of the replica shirts they had it on a table at their bar for everyone to see.
They've beaten 2 sides higher in the pyramid, now they face one lower down. I nearly went to Bracken Moor on Setdi but instead I chose a ground new to me, Liversedge. They got a deserved draw against higher ranked Chorley, but last night they lost the replay 9-0.
A couple of games stand out Worthing v eastbourne South Shields v Marsk anyone know who the bbc are putting on the red button?
I've been to see them a few times over the last couple of seasons, one of my favourite non-league setups and it only takes half an hour or so to drive down.
Yeah, it's a nice little ground. I used to live in Whitwell a couple of miles out of town. They were on their uppers a few years back but seem to be finding their feet again.
I live in Worksop and like to watch them and of corse the Reds. Nice set up and good fan base now play Gainsborough away in FA Cup. Would love them to progress and draw the Reds again.
https://www.cheshire-live.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/fa-cup-warning-form-chester-25092115 Interesting article. Chester have drawn Hanley Town who are two levels below. But they must have some cash behind them as they have a few of our former lads. Carl Dickinson as player manager, Ryan Shotton and Chris Dagnall. Imagine getting them in the first round proper.
Used to watch Scarborough when Reds were away and enjoyed sitting in the stand behind the goals, it's now behind the sticks at Fev,funny old World.
4th Qualifying Round Draw this afternoon. Worksop are in it. So too are Stocksbridge, and Scarborough, albeit they'll need to win a replay. Interestingly, Hanley Town managed a draw at Chester. As mentioned above, they have a few ex reds in their side.
