Haven't been able to follow any of today's game but great to see a scoreline like that. Well done the lads and the gaffer.
Mea Culpa! ...I was about to post that BBC stats show(ed) 0 shots on target for Charlton and then Payne goes and scores for them
This is Barnsley we are discussing... a 2 goal cushion with 5 minutes + Fergie time from the Ref = wibble!!
How was the rookie ref today? Seems to have been no bookings and fouls pretty much even between the sides 11-9 (although Charlton were only overtaken on that stat in the last 10 or so minutes) Where is all the extra time coming from? EDIT: 8 MINUTES!! What happened - most subs were swapped together (5 stoppages so only about 5 x 30 seconds). Was there a bad injury or something?
After 10 games, we have already scored 48% (16) the number of league goals as we did last season (33), whilst only conceding 14% (10) the number of goals as last season (73). This is with the frontline probably being the weakest part of our squad. Long may it continue.
I thought he was excellent all match, apart from maybe a 2 minute period in injury time at the end of the match. Very refreshing to see compared to the one we had against port Vale!
Never noticed the ref on the field. Really well done to the ref ,tried to let the game go where he could. Faultless
Do the people on here and twitter still want Duff out? Looks like he's turning it around! Bit childish of me I know... was just flabbergasted people actually wanted him out after about 5/6 games. Fantastic result, much better second half. That pass from Kane for our 3rd was beyond sublime!
I'd say one of the better ones this season. Not whistle happy. Not card happy. Allowed the game to flow, and most importantly, was consistent across both teams.
Good professional performance from the team and we've been rewarded with three points. Can see us playing better and losing but no complaints tonight
