A thought we was lucky to be in front at HT, it was a great goal but they dint half like pressure on, soon as we s tied second we seemed to go backwards again.....a do think we played some cracking football today but IMO opinion there probably best team I’ve seen this season, that black lad on right in first half was class

Awful at finishing though, Jack hardly had a save to make....

I disagree I didn't feel they were a threat at all tbh. If some of those 7 shots first half had been anywhere near the target I may have felt differently mind!

Wycombe, surely. It was men against boys that day.

Plymouth are the best I've seen by some distance. Agree about the lad (number 17) Charlton have on loan from Palace though.

They played nice but ineffective football.

Wycombe were streets ahead of them, very very streetwise.

    Plymouth were better too.

He was a proper handful first half but completely missing second half. Whether that was his fault or ours, I’m not smart enough to work out.

1 of a dozen shots on target. The result was never in danger. Charlton were poor like the vast majority of teams at this level are.

Yes Plymouth for me too. One big difference between L1 and the Championship is the quality of the strikers both our last 2 games would have been different if the opposition forwards had been any good

Duff tweaked things at Half time and we were much better2nd half

I thought we were far too negative against Plymouth, pretty sure we'll give them much more to think about when we play them again.

    I get how this works.
If we get beat it’s because we’re bad.
If we win it’s because they’re bad.
    Cheers for letting me know.

I must have watched a different game me, because the one I watched, we won comfortably 3-1. Defensively they were poor, going forward they were poor (barring their number 17 in the first half), and we won the midfield battle.

I honestly thought Cambridge looked a better side last week.

Didn’t see the Plymouth game but for me Ipswich shade it over Wycombe as the best side we played.

Wycombe played dirty without playing ball On the deck. Effective but unattractive hence why they have had a up and down start.

Ipswich had class and played very attractive football. Although we got a point, I thought we were second best that day and I could clearly see why they were and are top of the pile………..so far

I don’t think Wycombe will be top 6 come the end of the season. Feel free to bump this. I thought Duff was tactically naive that day and their first goal, which was world class btw, came at a great time for them and swung the game.

They had that spell after 20 minutes until half time - they offered nothing in the second half apart from the consolation goal

I don’t know about ‘the best side’ but they were certainly way above us first half. Though their finishing was the worse I’ve seen in years. We were very fortunate to go in 1-0 up.
Duff’s an interesting Coach. Although, unlike many on this site, I haven’t put him into Godlike status yet (he’s only been here 20 minutes) it is refreshing to have someone who a) can speak in English as opposed to ‘Manager speak’ when discussing the game and b) can not only make tactical changes when Plan A isn’t working (1st half) but actually communicate those changes to the players. Quite Remarkable. (c) David Coleman.

I'm really hoping that turns out to be akin to our 3-0 win at Fulham under Struber aka the exception rather than the norm. Wycombe have a fairly poor record so far this season and the 3 they scored at ours they miss 19 times out of 20 on any other day. That said, can't think of a better performance we've faced than the one they put in.
