Take a bow won’t come up against better wingers than today and dealt with it very well and created 3rd goal through poor grit and determination

Think both wing backs put a shift in today - both had to be alert. Half time came at just the right time because whatever was said at half time worked - less of a threat second half.

I thought Thomas was tremendous; never stopped running, closing down, and being a general nuisance for the Charlton defence.

Brilliant team performance, hung in when needed and took our chances when they came, big well done to all of them.

He dealt brilliantly with Blackett-Taylor to the point where he had to be subbed off.

I thought Williams had a very good game today & fair play to the lad but my MOM was Herbie Kane who I thought was excellent with Cole running him close .

Hard to choose again for the right reasons. Though Kane edged it for me. Totally marshalled and bossed the midfield allowing the others to do their stuff. Which was at times very impressive.
Pushed our luck a little first half. Then going forward with everyone contributing in the second. With some classy moves.

I agree, Herbie was excellent, his ball for the 3rd goal was sumptuous.

And what about shirking tackles, one of which led to their goal?

He made plenty more than he shirked. He was excellent today, and I think defensively it's one of his better performances. The way he can get us out of trouble with a nice bit of tricky, or a simple but completely composed pass is fantastic for us

Loved watching Kane today. He looks like he should be quite slow, but he's quicker than expected and he's silky smooth on the ball. Always showing for it, good in small spaces, always finds a pass, dictating the tempo and talking to teammates.

It says a lot about Benson, with such an energetic and dynamic performance, that he pipped Kane to MOTM.

Kane played today how I would expect Matty James to play in midfield. Rolls Royce esque.

Special mention for Williams since this is a thread on him. I'm a big fan of his and thought he was excellent tofay

Kane was the main man for me. His awareness of everything and distribution to set up others was Mowattesque. I heard one negative comment when he pulled out of a tackle near the end, but given his injury history I thought he did the right thing. Still more to come from this lad. And the quality of the rest is starting to shine through. With back up players coming on and doing a job. Says summat when Wolfe is not starting given how well he performed last season and everyone thinking 1st name on the team sheet this. (Unless he's injured but I'm not awre) Long may it continue.
