Nowt wrong with Gilbert O’ Sullivan. Funnily enough we were at the Liverpool Philharmonic pub (over the road from the venue) on Saturday - well worth a visit. Well so we thought. There was a drag act on upstairs at 1:30pm. Sounded like a load of hen dos in there. As we went outside, we could hear the act in full swing. Not really what you expect to hear at that time of day. I seem to remember a rendition of “Doe a deer” from The Sound of Music - just with filth inserted.
Don't think it necessarily counts as an happy thing but you're an amazing person who has helped improve thousands of kids lives over the years
Just finished reading it on holiday. It's a good read. I could have brought it back for you but I've given it to a bloke I got talking to on the beach. Miriam Margoles' book next.
This little girl was mistreated in a previous life then we adopted her and now she lives like a queen
Regarding audible. I read Dickie Birds biography written by Kieth lodge. Wonderful read. Then i borrowed off a mate, the audible version. Criminal lol.
That was my local for a year when I lived on Hope Street as a Student don’t remember them having a drag act on in the 80’s though. Went back in there a couple of years ago when back in Liverpool for a weekend and it hadn’t changed much. Walked past my old student house and it had been really done up The Philharmonic is a good venue. Went in there a few times but was more likely to be in the Empire or Royal court.
