    It was always going to be a tough season, after the winter 5h1tstorm, so fair play to the young squad for sticking together against that backdrop, especially when barely seeing a peep of Root, Brook, Bairstow et al.

    We have tried to compete, and hopefully it stands the lads in good stead for next season. Next year will be tough because the same issues will carry over, plus the ECB incompetence and interference will hang over clubs too.

    Disappointing though, but not totally unexpected.

    Pathetic from us this season, only 1 win and far too many draws. This has been relegation form for ages now and they should hang their heads in shame, if it does happen tomorrow!.

    Pathetic given the amount we've paid out on the new coaching team and director of cricket.

    Patel should walk as should Gough and Gibson irrespective of if we stay up or not now.
