If they aren't from London then it shouldn't be an issue as they don't have far to travel surely- Can't get tickets at Anfield for love nor money and they have a 25+ year waiting list for season tickets
Bet you you can't ... been like this since before Klopp took charge and that waiting list hasn't shifted for season tickets Yet you can tickets at City so easily - don't understand it
fk me. I take it you have no issue with the morality of the city owners' endorsement of UAE human rights abuse then? or Thaksin Sinawatra? you see 'investment in the community' where others see blatant sportwashing. in the billions. are you turning a blind eye to all that, because you get a £20 ticket to see their superstars? having an issue with the ethics of our owners - fair enough. turning to Man City as a result. laughable hypocrisy.
I pay £14.34 a game, good value that!! A support BFC too, it’s a shame you didn’t cast your mind back to the 3 managers previous to dick and liddy last season when they actually brought in 3 decent managers......enjoy singing blue moon every week flower
Peps spent over a billion and still not won the champions league which is quite funny. The only decent thing about united in the 90s is they brought through some great talent Beckham scholes butt Neville etc
I take your point on the phenomenal football, but Mancunians in the main, are you sure? This is an interesting watch: MAN CITY VS BORUSSIA DORTMUND | 2-1 | AWAY ULTRAS FIGHT POLICE & LATE LIMBS AS HAALAND SCORES!!! - YouTube A couple of lads from the West Midlands travel up to do a fan cam-style video. Interviews with 'Mancunians' before the game involved a group of young Scottish fans (among them a couple of self-confessed 'United fans'); a lad from the West Country; two blokes from Norfolk (one an Ipswich fan, and his mate, who spoke the same, a 'City fan'); a mock-Cockney, and another group of Scottish lads; and if things couldn't get weirder, an Irish 'Dortmund fan'. One Manchester lad is filmed near the end of the interviews, for a bit of authenticity. No-one seems to know any of the City chants. The video is filmed without a hint of irony but shows how City can't really laugh at United fans any more for their fans traveling from outside Manchester to games. And I say this as someone who hated United in the 90s, and I had a soft spot for the 3rd tier City with the likes of Georgi Kinkladze etc. Fair play to anyone who wants to go watch them, but they have turned a bit plastic for sure.
The difference been that yes like most if not every Premier League team City have fans from out of the local area, but I would hazard a guess that 98% of the fans who attend games at the Etihad are actually from this Country. Have you ever been to Manchester when United are playing at Old Tw@tford? I was in Manchester when United where playing at home at the start of this year we called into the Wetherspoon near Picadilly station and it was full of Man Utd shirts and foreign accents
I've been to Old Trafford once, when that kick was sliced and little Johnny Hendrie set his legs a-runnin I actually think your point makes it worse. Attendees with foreign accents = true football tourism. Fans of other teams (in my examples, Ipswich, Wolves, even United fans - and in this thread, sadly, a former Red) piggy-backing on the success of a club in the same country as the club you grew up supporting is quite depressing. I get people going to the odd game if they want to, to see a special kind of football, but ditching your hometown club and jumping ship... I will never understand it.
A good mate of mine and @Merde Tete is a big city fan from back in the day and he is now enjoying the ride. He gave me his season tickets a few years ago to watch a game and I can absolutely assure you it is not ‘full of mancunians’ anymore !
Aren't you a Man City supporter? Hardly going to get an impartial vew from someone who says "Old Tw@tford" It's funny how City are now what they used to hate (and worse) and they scrabble for ways to defend it. Man City is dead, there is now only The Sportswashing Entity Formerly Known as Manchester City.
And some fans wonder why we will never be able to compete in Championship or higher when some Reds fan's???? start spending their money supporting other clubs lol. OK go but don't then moan about Barnsley, the irony!
