    What a vile creature she is. I think spitting image portrayed Patel as Dracula. I wonder what they would do with this? Satan? Just baffles me how someone so devoid of any shred of humanity, can find themselves in such a senior position. Truly baffling. And depressing.

    Yesterday, at the conference, there were 2 fringe events in addition to the main conference happening at the same time. The main hall was half empty, an ERG meeting was very sparsely attended but a pro-EU meeting hosted by Michael Heseltine was rammed. The change is coming.

    She's managed to make people miss having Patel in charge. The party is in turmoil with Starmer ahead in polls by record amounts without having to actually do anything or say anything. Let's not forget they have Kwarteng trying to blame the death of Lizzie on his mini budget. Yesterday when Therese Coffey was giving her speech in Birmingham lots of the audience were actually asleep!!! Actual Tory members who PAID to be there couldn't be bothered to keep their eyes open to listen to her.

    There's always been the idle and feckless . Barnsley as ample of them . I've got cousins who have earned nothing but benefits there entire life. They are in their 50,s now . How they do it is a mystery to me.
    I agree the working tax credit was the stupidest idea ever imagined . It's allowed business to exploit workers and the benefit system .
    personally I once claimed universal credit for two months, I received over 3000 quid in benefits . I had to pay it back soon as I was back working, which I did not have any dispute with .
    There is a benefit system failure throughout the country . Be it people getting nothing to people falsely claiming and receiving a substantial amounts. However, she's branding everyone the same which I disagree wholeheartedly.

    I claimed Supplementary Benefit for 6 weeks in 1976 and didn’t have to pay it back . If your cousins are entitled to the benefit they claim what’s your problem, millions of £ go unclaimed in benefits every year , it’s tax evasion that’s the biggest social crime not so called benefit scrounges
