Now then my BBS friends, I'm having trouble downloading files(Like new software versions for my hardware) I've tried everything, CMD such as:
    netsh winsock reset
    ipconfig/release
    ipconfig/flushdns. & so on.
I've uninstalled my Intel wifi6 ax200 & re-installed, updated with the latest drivers.
I've updated my realtek 2.5Gbe family controller.
I can browse, I can stream but I cannot download large files for upgrades for my hardware.

I can however, download large files via my phones WiFi(then upload to PC) & that is what I've had to do to upgrade my hardware.

    Any ideas? TIA.

P.S. I've disabled my antivirus but to no avail.

What happens when you try to download? Are there errors?

Is windows defender switched off also?

Is there space on your hard disk?

Have you tried a different browser than what you normally use? Have you got a VPN turned on? (Assume its not a mac with you asking for PC help but private relay can cause weird issues if it is)

Failing those things, my next step would be to install a proxy called fiddler that intercepts the requests for the files to see what's happening to them at the HTTP level. It's a bit involved to do over a forum chat though :)

If you want to try the fiddler option, here's an explanation on how to install, configure and capture some trace logs.

If you want to do that, start it, go to where you are downloading the file from, store the URL you are trying to download, attempt to do it and then stop fiddler and save the logs and send them to me I will have a look if you like.

It's AMD & Samsung that's the main issues. I'll have a look see tomorrow, cheers.
