    Yes it was a very smart move by West Brom to get rid of Val when they were fifth in the table & replace him by a serial loser , thats gone well !!!f

    The Baggies are furious about him still being there, as it looks like he won't sod off lol.
    But apparently they also have clueless foreign investors/owners, who don't seem to know or care much about the team.
    Sounds a bit familiar dunnit!. :rolleyes:

    Cant believe he's still there. They have a very decent squad and made some great signings in the window - its fully down to Bruce. One of the managers I will never understand how he gets job after job.

    He as been in Management since 1998 and as 4 promotion seasons to his name from championship to premiership and also took Hull to FA cup final ,he as win percentage of 37.5 percent

    Apparently had way more coaches than Val, including his son. Think he's over rated personally although he got Brownie points for each my the cricket instead of taking up his post at the start of the season when he went to the Wendies and then dumping them to go to Newcastle!

    Shows how much interest I show in the Fa cup - didn't realise Hull got to a final. Probably name every winner up to mid 90's - including scores etc - struggle past that

    Was away with kids on a residential - we allowed them to watch it in the TV room - got a few snacks in :) met Stuart in a bar in Liverpool - nice bloke

    when you look at his record it looks very impressive, I agree, I just can' shake the idea he's a bit rubbish - maybe its the uninspiring brand of football?

    The last one of his promotions will have been 7 years ago by the time this season ends though. And he's managed some big clubs with big budgets since then, West Brom, Wednesday, Newcastle and Villa just off the top of my head.

    Possibly, because they have certainly cocked it up since then, despite having their premiership millions & now on their second year of parachute money you are right they appear to be clueless .

    How does he even get these jobs?. Who the ***** talks and thinks, Steve Bruce who has done **** all anywhere would be a good manager.

    WBA were about 5th when they sacked ish. Why did they think Bruce could take them to the next level.

    We built a couple of Subbuteo stands (North and Corner) with our parachute money. The rest we let John Hendrie waste. Total brain fart summer 1998. I'm sure Dennis listened to Eileen Drury through his block head. Why else would he sanction signing a Zimmer like Kevin Richardson and crock like Van de laan? You could see after two kicks McLare was total toss. Don Goodman and Deon Burton better options than Fjortoft. You're avin' a laugh.

    Did we even get any parachute money? If we did, I doubt it was enough to build the north stand. I thought that money came from the sale of Ashley Ward.
